The captain says no-one is happy. Supporters say the manager must go. The manager says he wants to stay. Welcome to the Stadium of Light, where darkness has long since descended. This football club is in a mess right now and boss David Moyes is fast losing control. Fans chanted for him to be sacked for the first time on Saturday, and this during one of their better performances in which they finally scored a goal after 701 minutes without one. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image In fact, they scored twice on home soil for the first time since January 2. Substitute Fabio Borini salvaged a draw in the 90th minute before sliding on his knees in front of dugout in what appeared a show of dissent towards Moyes. But there was no doubting the interpretation of the Italian's post-match comments. 'It's harder than previous times I think,' he said. 'We have not been at our level and we have not been a united group as previous seasons. That's what has been the problem. 'There has been a little bit of problems within the dressing room, but that's for us to deal with it.' Borini also questioned the decision of Moyes not to start with a front three of himself, fellow scorer Wahbi Khazri and Jermain Defoe, pointing to the fact that former boss Sam Allardyce used them during last season's escape from relegation. Skipper Lee Cattermole emerged to defend Moyes, but even then he could not sugarcoat the mood around the club. please log in to view this image +4 Borini slams in the equaliser in second-half stoppage time but the hosts remain in deep trouble please log in to view this image +4 Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole admits the mood around the Stadium of Light is low well thats good news has just scuppered the faint hope i had
I think we all suspected something but thought it was the manager. The team proved on Saturday and agianst Palace with a bit effort they can at least compete. Probs too late to save us now tho.
Looking forward to winning a few in the Chumps TBH. 9 points from safety with 6 to go is not going to happen this time out...
The jock should have signed Berbatov and Borini would not have got back into the team ! why did he celebrate ? 2 goals is appalling.
Turns out that the Borini thread (the main one) was a damn sight better than the actual player this season.
