Not certain what to make of this, but with N'Doye in, BSA may just be thinking Fab can go. Lots of holes to fill, so with a recovered transfer fee and his wages off the books, should be plenty of cash for some incoming quality. Ayew will not be coming the other way If Swansea involved, which is unfortunate. http://www.theguardian.com/football...o-borini-crystal-palace-sunderland-andre-ayew
I was puzzled as to why we signed him in the summer window as he was not a particular huge improvement to the overall squad and he was very much known to us. For me he does a lot of running and chasing but once he has the ball he seems to get over excited adn forgets when or how to pass. But time has shown that some of DA's signings are not standing up to scrutiny.
We can't get rid of him without getting somebody in first. Especially with Johnsons court case coming up, we will be right up **** creek.
Borini plus cash for Ayew, no way in hell, we need to hold onto quality players. I agree in shifting fringe players but not players like him.
Would happily send him on loan back to Roma and get Seydou Doumbia over here. His name is cropping up , ticks a few boxes, got a couple against Man City not long ago.
Is that the lad who dominated up front in Russia for a while? Borini offers nothing but energy and our minimum requirements should be a lot higher than effort.
Agree. he never lifts his head to understand where the play is. and twice he's been caught out recently, leading to a break-away goal.
Cest was shot down Mid August by people defending their club, then he disappeared. Borini didn't sign until the 31st. What you're saying didn't sound right so I did a search and Cest hasn't even mentioned his name since he signed. You've got the wrong the person fella. Did anybody actually get shot down at all on this matter. I seem to remember many people who didn't want him. If there was shooting down it would have been chaos on here.
Where do I single out Borini ? DA's signings not standing up to scrutiny is what I am referring to and I happened to agree with Cest at the time, not a bunch to move the club forward. It's all opinions Bri , just in this case Cest was right . Enjoy the game.
Sorry, assumed with it being a Borini thread your comment was bassed on Borini mostly. Fair do's apologies there. Cest guessed and put his club down with half a month of transfer window. That's why he was shot down. Nowt to do with his opinions on signings. I always said I'd do my club the most basic of respect and let them finnsh their bussines before judgement. If I wasn't happy then I was speak up. A pact of respect with @Mr Gonads If you think he was getting shot down based on football knowledge you really didn't have a clue what those debates was about and completely missed the point. As I was the one shooting him down and I know(not opinion) what my gripe was and it wasn't anything to do with player assessment. Glad to Clear it up Enjoy the game fella.
Borini's one of those players who seems to have all the right ingredients but it doesn't quite add up to as much as it should. I would prefer it if we stuck with him for now though it doesn't seem a good time to sell him and I'd like to give him a proper chance at the club too he's only been here five minutes really. If we spend 30 mil in the next few days on two attackers then I'd be ok with him going otherwise it's too risky.
You too Bri, no offence meant, get yer money on Half-Time /Full-Time. Hope Lens proves me wrong today
Boringi being a good player or a bad player is completely irrelevant if he doesn't work in Sam Allardyce's system.
I know mate, none meant from me neither, just wanted to clarify the reason I challenged him. I seem to remember my gripe when the window closed was the lack of defencive investment. Sure enough from 12th and below only Chelsea have scored more goals yet we have the worst defencive record in the league. Sorry, I thought before the subject moved on I'd brag a bit about being right because I'm such a cock. My money is on Sunderland win and +2.5 goals.
Personally I think we'd be mad to get rid of Borini, aside from Defoe he's one of our most obvious goal threats that we've got, he looks like a player struggling for form but we've seen how he can make a real impact in the past and he works hard for the team. I just see him as an ideal player for us he grafts, doesn't hide when it's not going well and on his day he'll win games for us.
