...then please feel free to create an interesting thread which can be promoted to article which in turn takes it to other sites such as "NewsNow" hopefully his will bring more onboard to liven up our boards.
Good Morning fellow Greenies, hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday Monday. I have gotten over feeling absolutely gutted at the prospect of our new owner and landlord, because now I've calmed down I realise that there are reasons to be cheerful. 1. They have only had proof of fundings, and how many times have we heard that, and they have a dealine of Wednesday to complete, again how many times have we heard that, so they haven't gotten us yet. 2. If they do take us over, I reckon there will be the birth of a Phoenix club built on Argyle's values and traditions. I'm used to grass roots footy, so standing on a touchline in the freezing cold, and pouring rain is something I'm used to. 3. Where the BIL want to build on is public land owned by the people of Plymouth, so whatever they submit for planning permission I shall, and I don't think I will be the only one object to. I'm not naive enough to think they eventually they will get planning permission, but in the meantime it is going to cost them time and money ! Hopefully they will come to rue the day that they tried to take on the Green Army !
Been in Kent for a week near Canterbury. I did suggest that the Boss dropped me off at Gillingham so I could watch the match and she and the kids continue to the camp site and I would join them later. I was given the 'look' that only wives and girlfrends give when men come up with ideas like that! Anyway I didn't see the match. We did have a good time and the weather was on the whole very good.
Hi there, I have not posted on here for quite a while as I thought any 'outsiders' comments would not be welcome in your circumstances and I am not the one for sugar coated, sentimental, lachrymose statements. This post is NOT meant to be controversional, just my honest opinion of the state of Argyle. I had the pleasure of living in Tamerton Foliot for 10 years (up till last December) and I can honestly say that I found Plymothians IN GENERAL to be the most apathetic, not invented here, moaning, won't be told beings on this planet. God knows why, it seems to me that the majority are only happy when they are moaning - NOT observing but being a smart arse pain!! Gat's thread on the Save our Club March attracted 10 replies (before last Friday)!!!! What does that say!!! I am NOT trying to be offensive, really am NOT. I wish I had a clue to be positive WHY the apathy, seems that Albion have had some sticky moments also, and this in a Rugby stronghold in the West Country! Anyway good luck to you all - apparently Wenger's UNfavourite chocolate is After Eights!
Hi oldnickyb.........nice to hear from you again, your welcome anytime to happy South Devon. Having been an Argyle supporter for over sixty years and having moved away as a kid during the war (thats WW11, sensible before the obvious joke) I cannot take offence at your comments,........maybe others might...........but your only saying it as you see it. In the defence of my fellow pilgrims.........most of them live in the Plymouth/Cornwall area and for the last three years the football fayre has been diabolical, that follows seven good years of continual improvement year on year...........you must take that into account,...........plus as you are aware the previous boardroom jesters ideas on running a club............enough said.............on a lighter vein your discription sounds familiar but at present I can't put a name to it......others might be braver than I.
You'll be in trouble over that comment Mrs Reid.................I thought Gat would of beaten you to the punch over that one.
I told you 606 always got boring when I wasn't around. Don't fret I can always come back and get some life back into this library.
Deja vu again and again and again and again Nice to know he has been keeping a watchful eye over Home Park. Batman returns to do battle with the dastardly Riddler and his friend the Joker changed from green to ginger. Flash bang wallop he's holding JB upside down from the Civic Centre, shaking all of his monies from his pocket while Catwoman aka big Viv Pengally collects the readies in her net, Meanwhile, back in the bat cave Batman and his youthful friend Navy Diver are pondering the next move KAPOW
I've heard of this person somewhere before but can't quite place him. But, don't bother yourself on our behalf.........please.
WHAAADDDYA mean Sensible, not too long ago you were virtually extolling the virtues you know who or rather letting EVERYBODY know that the riddler had not done anything untoward YET!! Batnan is your ONLY hope
No he isn't. And the Riddler still hasn't been shown to have done anything wrong just yet. Even though I don't like Reid's sacking there are many who seem to think it was the right thing to do so even now the jury is still out. I don't recall estolling his virtues however just pointing out that he hasn't erred just yet that we know about which is a completely different thing altogether to liking him.
