OR Most expensive new players in, all Academy players out. OR No one over 20 selected apart from Silva. OR All Boehly signings start Or better still, NO Boehly signings start OR Let Poch mangle it up again. I'm going for the last option, 'cause Poch is the man.
Far too sensible, players are actually in correct positions !! Must be a difficult job for Poch with so many players injured and still too many to choose from!!
Well the game was more boring than the wait. Not much has changed that I could see. We dominate ( a very ordinary team), we get to the scoring area and we overcomplicate or lack composure with every chance we create. I think the only excuse Poch has is the injuries. As for the players, apart from Gusto, not many have greatly improved. Even Sterling and Enzo were below recent form.The defence is pretty good, though Silva often has to slow play to a crawl to get people into position, the midfield huffs and puffs but doesn't score, the strikers fluff their chances. The quality of play we need is not happening, certainly not at the moment. Hard to judge the individual when the sum of the parts is so below par. No way forward except more work and application until our proven class players return from injury. Poch is not helped by having far too many players, he can't give them enough game time to establish themselves and show their true level of play. I think we have to accept more of the same for some time.
