    ...I still find it rather odd that we are about 9th favourites with the bookies to win the championship. Could we be an e/way steal at @20/1, especially now with the likes of JET joining from Arsenal. And really, are Brighton, Southampton, Blackpool and 'Boro better than us????

    Boro. Yes. One of the most in form teams in the final two months of the season and finished above us. As for the rest, I fancy Southampton to be half decent and Holloway's Blackpool will always be a tough team. I cant imagine theres a great deal of difference in the odds for about 10-15 teams from the Championship winning the title.

    You see, that's where you Englanders have got it wrong. A competitive league just doesn't work. Nobody know who's going to win it until the last couple of weeks. How are clubs supposed to plan for the premiership if they don't know if they will be promoted or not?

    You should take a leaf out of the Scottish league and have 2 teams fighting over the title for every single season.

    It's riveting and everybody knows where they stand.

    Or maybe it's total ****e, I haven't made my mind up yet.

    We badly need some speed in the middle of the defence, hopefully two new recruits, Delaney very iffy, no speed. Smith not up to this level, also slow. Perhaps the bookies took this into consideration.
