Listening to talksport earlier and they were talking about booing at games, something I personally have never done but can see why some fans do. Can see both sides for and against but I can't see that it helps the players at all, if we've played ****e then I don't applaud them off at half or full time but each to their own. You can probably all guess that I do. Players need to know when they've underperformed. If getting booed after a bad performance is demotivating then they're not the right character I want at the club. If I was booed i'd want to prove the fans wrong. It would be my motivation.
I dont, no-one goes out to play a bad game. In terms of an opposition, it only makes them play better.
I dont agree with booing a player or booing the team during the game But at full time if the team hasnt performed then they deserve to be booed. But players shouldnt be singled out
The Blackburn fans were booing at half time when the teams came off - maybe that's where you have heard it.
I'd never boo my own team. I think they know full well when they've under-performed, and even if they don't the manager will sure as Hell tell them. The last thing they need is the additional pressure from people that are supposed to be supporting them. It's anti-productive.
I don't boo, too much effort. I just skulk out of the stadium chuntering away to anyone that'll listen and try and avoid the opposing fans. Then I get home to the usual "great you're in a mood then for the rest of the night" and "it's only a game" from the wife like that helps! Damn you Leicester when you play ****e!
I was booed by our local peeping tom when he was spying on me and my girlfriend in bed ....put me off.....Im now seeing a physciatrist.. I never boo though... well not much..
Have never booed a LCFC player or team, and never will. As for the wife - she buys the season tickets so if we lose she is as pissed off as me.
Sorry mate - But to be fair you were cack, did you not see her checking out what was on telly when you were giving it your best
Sums it up basically. I agree totally with this post. Players will know, if not told that they've put in a lackluster performance and booing them definitely won't do their confidence any better because they get more edgy and concentrate more and trying to be better therefore not doing what comes natural to them and sometimes actually doing worse. It's not a chosen way to show a fans thoughts on a performance. Just no applause would be suffice.
Boo my team ?? Nope , everyone has a ****ty day at times .. Just makes then play worse in my opinion ...
