I think the general levels of dissatisfaction are rising right across society.
People are becoming less tolerant of relatively minor annoyances. When something they were expecting to enjoy (as an escape from the depressing outlook in their working lives) doesn't deliver, they are more ready to vent their disappointment.
Everything seems to be getting worse, and nobody is offering credible solutions.
Truss trashes the economy in a week and we'll all be paying for that foolishness for years to come - many will lose their homes because of it. People can't afford their bills and feed their kids, or get medical help, and none of the sleek fat cats in power will take any responsibility.
I think we're all sick and tired of hearing that it's the Pandemic and Putin, when we all know that the complacency and incompetence of our leaders is as much to blame if not more.

...and what was the Government doing? In-fighting for months and months over who should succeed their disgraced ex-Prime Minister.
Everything in our society has been underfunded and run down, many times for decades on end. And now we're close to the end of our tether as a country.
Having said all that, I expect that back in Victorian days a poor performance at the Opera would probably have got booed as well.
Politeness among the masses is a dividend of contentment.
Something we are sorely lacking in these grim times.
