Honest interview there. I see him staying next season unless a big club comes in for him as he seems really happy here.

Please let this be true , this will make a smoother reaction from other players who might have wanted to go and new players who might not want to come to the team . Normally Id be skeptical of this sort of news but Bony seems more honest than your average superstar .

"If something happens we would have to decide."

That's the killer. We all love Bony but we also know that we'll be very lucky to keep him. Our mantra is always "We don't have to sell players" but imo our board won't be able to resist a massive bid.

Personally I think it works the other way. The fact you don't have to sell means you KEEP your best players as long as possible. £13M profit or Bony on the pitch? I know what I'd prefer.

Exactly. Nothing is definite in football. Words and "promises" are often worthless.

I think it would have to be a huge bid to actually sell but there's also the player's ambition. He's happy now. He'd also be happy to stay if Stoke or Palace made a bid (for example) but if one of the top four makes a bid? Nothing's certain unfortunately, so fingers crossed. I personally think he'll be trotting out in a Swans shirt next season.

If decent offer comes in he'll be gone.
While I have no doubt he loves it here and really appreciates the fans' support we have to be realistic. An offer of a huge pay rise to play in a European competition will be very hard for him to refuse and a good price will quickly open the door to the chairman's office.
    If he stays - BRILLIANT
If not, it's thank you Wilfried and good luck; you have made an old man very, very happy.

I agree. He's made no secret of the fact he wants to play in Europe and that was one of the draws for him coming here in the first place. I can see a club like Spurs coming in for him and they have Europa League football next season and may well look to offload Soldado imo.

    If that happens, ta ta.

Spurs and Europa wouldn't do it.

ManC or Liverpool or Chelsea might.

But I think Swansea will be Bony's home next year.

Really? What about adding the sweetener of doubling his salary. Think that'll swing it. We know he came here because we could offer Euro football. What's the diff?

I am not going to get to excited until the 31st of August. If he is still here i will be more than happy. Said to my son on Sunday enjoy watching him in a white shirt it may be the last time you see him wearing it. Hope I am totally wrong.

    Bony's agent Dalibor Lacina....

“I spoke to Newcastle about Bony last summer. Newcastle should have bought Bony a year ago but they didn’t believe in him.” “They could have signed him for £10M, but they said they weren’t sure if he was good enough, that he was only playing in Holland.”

“I know Wilfried. I brought him over from Africa and I know what he can do. I used to be a player and a coach myself.” “I told them that he would score goals wherever he played but it was only Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins who took the risk.”

“Now he is worth £20M, “Newcastle is a traditional, fantastic club but they are always the same with transfers. I was in contact with them a couple of years ago over Tomas Ujfalusi, who played for Atletico and Fiorentina, but it was a similar story.”

“The next step for Bony is a top-six team in England or a top team in Germany, Spain or France, or he will stay with Swansea.” “We have a certain strategy. Bony is in a totally different place to Newcastle and wants to move to a club with ambition.”

“We have had no contact with Newcastle.”

Jeepers - nice to hear an agent be honest. Think he's burnt any bridges with Newcastle though lol

Sounds like him & Bony are pleased with how Swansea acted and want to repay with loyalty unless a massive club & offer comes in. Pleasing.

Bony is the master of his own destiny and fair play to him for putting himself in that situation by working hard and doing his job to a high standard. I would love another season with us but will understand if he moves to a big club that wins things. He said his ambition is to play in the champions league so unless one of them clubs are willing to pay the starting price of £19m then i think he will stay another season....

Sounds like big clubs bettter ante up or shut up , if none of the big clubs come for him in the summer , he could go in January for massive money to a rich , in the hunt club in January ... lots of winning variables for us whether he stays or goes . I thought Michu was a brilliant bit of business but Bony blows that transfer out of the water... Not that Michu wasn't a great buy..

Nothing new really. Bottom line is that if he goes it'll have to be to a big club in Europe next season and for big money.

My view is that we should pull out all the stops to hold him to his contract and Rodgers has shown that it can be done.

No way I want Bony to leave, but if a top 4 club in UK or Spain or top 3 in Germany or Italy came in for him, I would very reluctantly wish him all the best. He has been a star for us (and hopefully will continue to be so) but I wouldn't be surprised if he is with us in the autumn .... continues scoring and gets snapped up in January.

Can't see us letting him go in a Jan window - if we do that's folly because replacing him will be a nightmare mid season.
