http://www.clubcall.com/swansea-city/swans-to-wait-on-bony-1616399.html Really hope not, but will be a long trip back from international duty. Anyone want a crack at guessing the line up for Saturday with or without Bony?
I do think Bony will play, Laudrup will want his best side out so I'm going for. Vorm Rangel, Chico, Ash, Davies Routledge, Leon, Shelvey, Dyer Michu Bony
Yep, that would be my call too never. Hopefully everyone can come through the internationals unscathed!
In principle I agree with you, I guess Hernandez isn't ready for a start yet. After seeing Routledge against Malmø I hope that he (and Dyer ) won't be starters for the Whole season. They are probably the most fit players for these positions by now - buit both Pozuelo and Hernandez are breathing in their necks. Vorm Rangel Chico Wiliams Davis Canas/Ki Leon Dyer Shelvey Routledge Michu ...is also a very likely formation.
Well De Guzman may well be out , although the I didn't know you could suffer from concussion by a kick to the gonads http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jonathan-de-guzman-serious-doubt-5716586?
Yeah, I think Bony will be on the bench for this one, I just cant get over the amount of stupid friendly games 3 days before the season kicks off,its just insane that our new marquee signing probably wont be able to play in a game broadcast to about a billion and half people across the globe because he has a friendly in New Jersey ! Surely that's doing the player more harm than good ? Anyway it is what it is
Agree Norway - the timing of the friendlies is a bit stupid, but then when have the idiots who arrange these things ever cared about club football! The whole Qatar world cup debacle is a perfect example of the way that money rules and common sense plays no part in football decisions!
Bony faces a "gruelling" trip according to the report....... what is it ? 6 and a half hours flight from Heathrow ? I don't think he'll be in economy either. Talk about exaggerating.
Don't start me on the Qatar world cup. FIFA never knew is was hot there in July, **** even the wife knows the poxy place is hot in summer.
I know never - but their heads were turned by the big brown envelopes stuffed with cash! Then reality set in and they try to change it to winter!
I do wander is one of the loosing countries will make a legal challenge to a change this into a winter tournament. Now that would be fun, half of the FIFA delegates would end up doing time.
I know it's laughable really. Oooh a 6 hour flight, lying down, maybe taking in a movie or two, getting attentively waited on. He is going to need at least a week to recover from that. What utter ****e the very idea that it will be grueling. Try living in the real world, getting home at stupid o'clock in the morning, getting up and doing 12 hour days for the next week to catch up, like the rest of us mortals have to do. Surely he will definitely start, even if he only lasts an hour or so. The game time will be far more tiring than any flight. He should be pestering Laudrup to start from the off. Home debut against Man Utd. It doesn't get bigger than that in the premiership. I will be amazed if he does not start. He is only young for F's sake. Put him on and let's see what he can do. They are athletes, not bloody OAPs.
Agree Nam - and think Bony will be gutted if he doesn't play! But, rightly or wrongly (wrongly in my opinion), professional footballers are 'wrapped in cotton wool'! But think Laudrup will make the right call and would be very surprised if Bony isn't on the bench at least.
I do not like flying, never have, and the longest I've been in that tooth past tube is 5 hours, so if Bony doesn't like flying maybe the whole ordeal will take a few days to get over, Jet lag and all that, anyway we have Pozuelo or Donnelly who can play up front, I think Norway's right, he'll probably be on the bench, and maybe get 30 minutes of the second half at best!...................
I love flying - and looking at Bony, he seems to be a beast - so don't think flying will phase him at all! Expect him to be in the starting line up!
