Steve Evans' team will hope to build on their 1-1 draw midweek at Craven Cottage when they travel down to the Macron Stadium to face bottom of the table Bolton.

An unconvincing Wood Penalty was enough to take hope a share of the points. If truth be known Leeds carved out the better opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net.

Is Wood our best penalty taker in the team?

Who was your favourite Leeds penalty taker. For me it had to be either Lorimer or Harte.

Bolton boast the worst goal difference and the least potent attack in the division. Surely, if that is not an invitation to fill your boots, I don't know what is!

I would not have thought that Evans will tinker too much with the team. Surely, if we play like we did midweek, we should win comfortably.

Of the last six meetings between the teams, Leeds have won three and drawn two, with only one defeat in that time. However, that solitary defeat was one of United biggest home losses in recent times, after Andre Moritz came off the bench to cap off a 5-1 win for the Trotters at Elland Road

Morning all. Was half asleep this morning but did I catch something on Talksport about Evans approaching Leeds while Rosler was manager? Seems to have caused some issues with the league manager's association (did Rosler see email etc)?

 

I think we'll beat Bolton without too much trouble and I fully expect a rampant well motivated team on the attack throughout the game. Different bloke in charge with a different ethic and something like the old Keegan style set up. You score 8 not bothered we'll score 9 mentality and about time the Leeds fans had some of that, if we lose we lose on our own terms and the team will still be applauded off.

Tony Curry took a good spot kick and so too did Duncan McKenzie and Frank Worthington and don't forget that Vinny had a bit of finesse with spot kicks too,

 

Should be a simple 3 points for us so I'll say

Morning all. Hope above comments prove right but all way too optimistic in my opinion. All based on one very good midweek performance which could be down to new manager syndrome. If we can repeat Wednesdays efforts for next couple of months well be ok. As for winning easily or scoring lots of goals, we scored one on Wednesday and that was a poxy bad penalty. Add to that, we cant keep a clean sheet and Im not convinced where the big wins can come from

 

Morning Pal wouldn't be surprised, though Evans doesn't come across as that cut throat, but you never know...

Still think we need a Vinney type player to get us out of the division. Our team that got promoted was full of hard nuts Baird, Hilaire, Blake, Jones, Kamara.

Miserable fook: new tactic as being slightly optimistic all season hasn't worked then the soap opera kicks back in and now I'm a fooking fruit loop so going to be well high until we play shyte or lose badly. This maybe the new way forward and I'm calling it the anti-glory/ristac method of support

Man for man we are better than Bolton therefore logic says we should win. Logic also says that dour Rosler style football never works with skilful players so the Evans gung-ho school should work in a big way espesh against lesser sides.

My work here is done 4-0 Leeds minimum

 

Leeds are 11/5 to beat Bolton tomorrow or 11/2 on a -1 handicap (need to win by 2 clear goals or more, say 2-0 or 3-1)

Evans spoke again about Byram. Said one of Byram's reps phoned him to thank him for putting Sam back in the team at Fulham.

Cellino looked into signing Kyle Lafferty from Norwich a month ago. Rosler wasn't keen and they left it alone.

 

Evans said he felt Leeds needed extra players in soon and before the end of the emergency loan window next month.
