It doesn't matter about Bolton. We may be 23rd or 24th (or 22nd), makes no difference. The ones to watch are 21st and 20th. We have to overtake them whether Bolton are ahead of us or behind us.
Mini league of 5 now Rotherham is a MASSIVE game. We need 8 wins and 4/5 draws I reckon - somewhat unlikely. We will look back in anger at the 15 games we wasted on that tosser Fraeye.
Well we were better set up and organised on Saturday than at any time under Fraeye. The obvious problem is that even against a very ordinary Blackburn side at home, we created very little and had how many shots at goal ? 1 or 2 ? Once again we fell back on that horrible, staccato sideways passing. I am not a detractor when Cousins is concerned, but so many of our moves break down because of him.
The midfield is devoid of creativity. Wouldn't it be nice if we spent a seven figure sum on a creative centre midfielder?
We were supposedly looking at him. Decent squad player but we really need someone to come in, give a boost, and ideally get a handful of goals and more assists.
Rotherham United will beat us. If you look through their squad they have: Lee Camp, Danny Ward, Chris Burke, Greg Halford, Luciano Becchio, Matt Derbyshire, Lewis Buxton All of which are pretty hardened championship players. If you look at their home form, they sit fifth in the charts, having won four of their last six games. We have one of the worst away records. If anything we need to pray that Blackburn and Fulham keep losing and that we overtake them. Based on form we'll be bottom of the Championship in the next two games, with Bolton ahead on two points (my predictions).
JG should be the creative midfielder but he's gone to pot this season, not even half the player he was there lies the problem in my view. We need fire in our bellies on Saturday real commitment will to win or we will lose .There is no doubt whatsoever that Rotherham will be up for it
