Hello, Since the game is not getting called off, how do you think your team will do against Bolton? We have had a mixed pre-season, with two right-sided players getting a broken leg, but going on a good run in terms of results, which didn't happen last year. We are (currently) without a replacement for our two strikers that have left the club, but we are looking for one, though I doubt we will have one in time for Saturday. However, we have got too many options in midfield after recently buying Pratley, Eagles and Reo-Coker, who I personally think are all good/not average. How do you lot think you will fair up against us? What sort of line-up do you expect to put against us? For us I would go for: (Bolton) Jaaskelainen Robinson - Cahill - Knight - Steinsson Petrov - Reo-Coker/Muamba - Pratley - Eagles Davies - Klasnic Hope for a good game on Saturday anyways, even with the disgraceful ticket prices. EDIT - Can one of your mods change the title.
Alright Bolt, would you like rob hulse? No charge. Think we will be good on sat, I've gone for a 4-1 home win in our prediction thread. Can't wait for the game, back in the big time. I hope we can emulate the success and staying power your lot have shown for the last few years. Enjoy the game.
6ft 1 and he scored 1 goal in 8 apps in the Championship last season (wiki)?? Using stats to support your argument No thank you. We're going for Tuncay according to SSN. Bolton fan in Peace.
Your side looks quite strong Bolton Boy. Do you prefer Coyle's type of football to the previous manager's?
Yeah, Coyle's football is positive in contrast to the last three managers we have had in Megson, Sammy Lee and Big Sam. We always go for the points when we are losing, putting three strikers on the pitch etc.. It's all fun.
Tuncay signed on loan,4 trotters! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2024649/Bolton-sign-Tuncay-want-David-Ngog.html
Lovely lack of quotes there, but I hope this is the case. The 'close to' agreeing fee of SWP at the bottom I also hope is true! Dunno about N'gog though. Always seemed a bit... ****.
@ChrisSmithBwfc Chris Smith Crap!! Didn't realise Tuncay wouldn't have work permit in time for Saturday. #QPR you got a lucky escape #bwfc
I see a lot of fans aren't crazy on the Chris Eagles signing? I think he's a very good player. Was probably Burnley's best in the Prem. Then again, I couldn't understand why most Bolton fans were against Megson when he took over a Sammy Lee mess and kept them up. I suppose sometimes fans just take a disliking to a manager.
Megson was terrible. Yeah he kept us up, but put a reserve side out for a last 16 in Europa League when we would of won, and then let everyone go and replaced them with lesser quality! Also, Eagles used to play for Burnley (****s), and he didn't look good when he played against us. But he was good in pre-season and he is better than what we have (with Holden injured) so hopefully it will turn out good.
Eagles is ****. Who remembers when he came to LR last year. He took two massive dives, get's booked and then claims Hill should be sent off for elbowing him. I was right next to that incident, and Clint Hill's elbow was about two yards from Eagles' face. I rest my case.
Its going to be a tough test for us tomorrow. I think we'll be up for it and personally think it could go either way. Bolton will get there chances as Taarabt will probably lose the ball all over the place as he's not 100% fit. Glad they have no real strikers and I think if we get on top we could edge it. Im going for a 2-1 Rangers win or a 1-1 draw. I cant wait til tomorrow though, just hope we dont lose. PS - Eagles is a good player. I'd take him at QPR any day of the week.
2-0 to the Rangers Boys, but ONLY because we will be playing against a weakened Bolton side. Also think we can get a draw at Goodison on the 20th. Everton are perennial slow starters and their game against the Spuds being postponed can only be good for us. U Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!
Looking at the Bolton team, I honestly think QPR have a better midfield and strike force. Probably a better goal keeper, too.
I think this game is more important for us than you. Having the first game of the season at Home (especially first one back in the prem) is a bonus and no offense not against one of the Big 5/6 even better (unlike Swansea). We need to get off to a flier and have the fixtures to do so, important for us to carry the momentum from last season forward into this. Need to build confidence for competing at this level. I'm thinking we will win 2-1 but I'll be crossing everything I can as well. PS - Hello all , decided to stop lurking and start posting.
Welcome aboard, Vale I recon it'll be 2-1, I'm just not sure who to.... Bolton, what's the mood like on your board? Also, nasty remark to make regarding the away ticket prices, but if there aren't many Bolton fans at the game, it might work in our favour. I'm not supporting the goons about the prices, I think they're disgusting for both home and away fans, I'm just saying....
