This fella has so much class, both on and off the field, that we must make him an improved offer to keep him at Sunderland. He would be a great help in bringing our young players on.He is evidently a great asset on the training ground, the dressing-room and the pitch, and,I think he can only continue to be an asset to our club.Form is temporary, class is permanent...and Bolo is class! What are your thoughts??
I agree a great player to have in the squad and he should definitely be given a coaching role at the club.
Contrary to what has been the popular belief, he was able to last out the whole game yesterday and ran his socks off for the cause. He took his goal well also, although he seemed to take an age to put it in the net.
he has the offer in front of him so i'm told but it's not the money he's haggling over, it's time on the pitch. In my opinion he should have played a lot more and with his experience at clubs such as chelsea end barca together with the time he's spent here, should be made captain
But the last game was possibly a one off, it's obvious that he's an outstanding player, but does he have the stamina to play week in, week out to that standard? That's probably the sticking point in his contract; he wants to play more than his body can take.
Keep him and make him club captain. Catts plays his heart out on the pitch but it takes more than that to be a good captain and I really think this is one of the problems off the pitch.
Got a shedfull of free beers in my local Dutch boozer, they had seen match of the day, last night,Cloggie scoring a great goal, english SAFC supporter at the bar, magic, pure magic , and free
bill do you know anything about the fast track into management over there? cos i seen an interiew with bolo, saying he was looking into it. and for anyone calling for bolo to be captain, he's already club captain, whatever that means.
If we're not going to play him that much why don't we offer him a contract on the basis he goes off and does his fast track management course then rejoins us as a player coach?
MURRAY OUT: he has the offer in front of him so i'm told but it's not the money he's haggling over, it's time on the pitch. In my opinion he should have played a lot more and with his experience at clubs such as chelsea end barca together with the time he's spent here, should be made captain I agree he does have a footballing brain, and can read the game, should definately have played more, same with steed, two experienced players who should have been in as soon as the slide started
taken of sky sports now ....Sunderland's veteran midfielder Bolo Zenden says he has not spoken to manager Steve Bruce about his future. The Dutchman, who scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win at Bolton, is out of contract in the summer. Bruce has questioned recently whether he has under-utilised the ex-Chelsea and Middlesbrough man throughout the season. Zenden was praised by the Black Cats boss in the wake of their Reebok success, although no contract talks have taken place. .The 34-year-old still believes he can do a job at Premier League level but is wary of committing unless he is given a greater role within the team. Future "You can train as much as you want but what you need is competitive games," said Zenden. "So I hope I've taken the chance to show I can still play at Premier League level. "I haven't spoken to the manager about my future, but it's something that will obviously have to be decided soon. "I've spoken to people and I feel I'm important for the club. ''But it's not just that, I want to be important for the team as well - and I feel I can still do a job.
Norway couldn't agree more about Bolo and Steed, Both class and experienced, would like to see Bolo captain on the pitch as well as club captain (which I think means that he represents the club off field etc).
