Ok, you've had your fun now. Can you take Bollard back? You did warn us about him a couple of years ago but no-one listened. He's still got two years left on his contract on £45k+ a week..... OMG
I've been watching threads on your board and though I wqas tempted, I decided it would be unfair to say "I told you so" ............however, I told you so! I think you would be best paying him off, or paying half his salary to play for Ipswich - though goodness knows why they think he'll do it for them. Simple solution would be concrete boots, in the Humber Whilst I feel for you guys, I'm so pleased Woy let him go.
A great piece of business By RH. One way or another the buying of Bullard put your club in financial s..t ,street,why any club should want him other than pay and play. My regards to O L M
I don't think he care's about what the fans think - £50k a week, IMO should get a haircut and sort his attitude out. Bloke really annoys me (you would never know ) Glad Hull are starting to see him for what he really is
you should have seen him at Newmarket Race Course early part of this year....throwing £20 notes at the bar staff...horrible stuff. Little ****.
It behoves ill and disappoints that any Fulham fan should castigate Jimmy Bullard. Okay he got greedy no doubt influenced by his England call up and subsequently egged on by his golfing crony Phil Brown but never did he let us down. Who could forget his first games back in 2007, tragically cut short within a few months following his horrible injury at Newcastle. And more so his contributions when he returned in the 'Great Escape' season. Throughout his time at the club he was a talisman to the terraces. What Jimmy did or does in the backyard's of others is for them. We should retain our Fulhamish values and give him the respect he deserves. For the record it was Big Mac , not Woy, who brokered the deals - bought for £2.5m, sold for £5m.
Well said, Cottager. I've been keeping out of this one, having stirred up a hornets' nest on the old 606 site when I defended Jimmy this time last year. I don't dispute that he's caused problems at Hull and that his character seems to be flawed to say the least. Doubtless if I was a Hull fan I would be seriously hacked off with him. But as you say, what he did for us on the pitch deserves to be remembered better than this.
This is how I'll remember Jimmy;
I agree Cottager, he did a great Job at Fulham he was a fans favourite when he played. It was just the way he went about his business when a contract was not what he wanted that got a few fans' backs up. Bullard is like marmite I'm afraid and if he had left FFC like John Paintsil and Gera did recently then he would be getting the same reception that those guys will get if/when we play their respective teams in the future
I think our relationship to Jimmy Bullard is like the girl you really loved through fantastic times, but then had a rough break up with and who you've never been able to forgive. Hull fans relationship with him is like the girl who went off you quickly, maxed out your credit card, stole your car but still kept turning up expecting you to take her in when she needed someone.
