The match ended 1-1, with Pompey taking the lead in the 75th minute with a Joe Morrell penalty awarded when Academy striker Sam Folarin was brought down in the box by a Bognor player.

Bognor equalised when Josh Oluwayemi misjudged a corner in the 88th minute, and a Bognor triallist headed home.

Pompey had missed a previous penalty awarded earlier in the second half, when Terry Devlin was tripped in the box by O'Brien, with Paddy Lane's shot saved by their keeper Ryan Hall.

Anthony Scully playing as a striker, had a goal disallowed for offside, from a chip into the box by skipper Marlon Pack.

Pompey Team (First Half): Luke Norris; Josh Dockerill, Sean Raggett, Riley Towler, Conor Ogilvie; Tom Lowery, Marlon Pack (C), Harry Jewitt-White; Koby Mottoh, Anthony Scully, Liam Vincent.

Pompey Team (Second Half): Josh Oluwayemi; Zak Swanson, Haji Mnoga, Conor Shaughnessy, Jack Sparkes; Terry Devlin, Ben Stevenson, Joe Morrell (C); Paddy Lane, Sam Folarin, Denver Hume.

Just read an article stating that Pompey were without three strikers last night, due to injuries to Colby Bishop and Christian Saydee, and Kusini Yengi not being quite fit enough to play. Quite a few of the players appeared to be playing out of position, so presume John Mousinho was trying out new permutations!

It sounds like young academy striker Sam Folarin had a good second half, and another youngster Liam Vincent (usually a left back) played well on the left wing. Also good to see talented academy right wing back Koby Mottoh playing as a right winger.
