    Hi Peeps

Eire popped the question about getting a wreath for the funeral.

I wanted to put this conversation in the open so his friends on the board don't miss out on giving their opinion.

I did not want to write this thread on what is quickly turning into his tribute page as I think it should remain solely a tribute page, and discussions about any contribution we make may dilute it (just my opinion).

I think its a lovely idea to get a wreath or similar but wanted to know if anyone has any other thoughts.

I'm off on a long weekend stag do tomorrow until Monday so am a little limited on time

    Thoughts please

I was thinking of a wreath in Leeds colours spelling spelling out NOT606. This place obviously meant a lot to Boggers

    Yes, please count me in.

Can I suggest that any surplus raised is donated to the MS Society charity?

£10 a head for those who can afford it about right? I have no experience of these things, so just guessing.

I would imagine it will be family flowers only? Most funerals are, If so, perhaps someone could do a just giving page to the charity nominated?

More than happy to chip in whichever and if Mike puts my grand in too that's fine.

If any of the lads have access to a credit card terminal maybe we could send our card details by pm to them. They could gather the donations together or is there an easier way?

Kim should be able to do a just giving page and link it to a thread here if we ask. I am guessing there will be an ms research charity.

Agree with chippy, the just giving page is the easiest.

The MS Society does already have a Just Giving page but I like the idea of flowers and excess handed over to the charity. A just giving page at least means those who can afford more can donate more and those who can't won't have to feel awkward.

    Some nice ideas <ok>

I will put sumat towards. Whatever glory was putting in he can add the fiver he owes me (it isn't that he's dodged paying. I just never got round to giving him my payment details).

Maybe somebody could set this up and we can send the donations to it - pointless me doing it in Oz as GDP-AUD then back to AUD-GBP isn't a sensible move

I can do PayPal or card machine if it is easiest but would prefer to keep work and here (part of my social life for some feckin reason) separate. Will do if it helps?

Obviously, will donate too and go with the consensus.

If I may have my say without any attempt at fishing, wumming, general bolloxing around so what if it is family flowers only? I think Eire's idea of a 606 wreath is absolutely spot on (if I were Boggers I would be chuffed as feck at that) and anything else goes to charity. The reason we are all here is A) Leeds United and B) 606/friendship.

We are a community because of those two factors and a community that Boggers felt part of. If it is a wreath for 3 days only and wilts, so what? Memories last.

How about, Eire designs the wreath, I will pay for it and it goes to his family and everyone else donates to the MS charity / Just Giving site. Everyone wins, the sentiments are fulfilled and genuine and nobody is under any pressure financially. I will happily step aside if anyone here knew Boggers and would rather do the wreath thing, it is totally not about that only embracing Eire's brilliant idea but allowing for all.

    Does that make sesnse?
