I'm sure I read somewhere that he was going to have a rest for a bit because he started training much earlier than the rest of the squad. Or something along those lines :D

I have full faith in the training BR has set out for him! Have you all seen the highlights from Port talbot?? I went on the day to and his input only for 15 minutes was brilliant, im sure for the first part of the season he'll be a super sub or starting for half the match, Taking ever precaution they can to keep him at the swans!

We All want the legend back, but at least he is looking good in training, and will need to slowly build to match fitness, and I'm sure he will make a great entrance in the Premiership at some stage!...............

Looks like people are getting impatient. Let's not forget, getting impatient has cost us the last few seasons with him, I would rather have him back in October/November than have him back now and him get injured again.

If it takes until New Year to get him back, then I'm happy to wait. I'm confident enough in our squad as it is, adding a fully fit Bodde to them at any point of the season will be a massive boost to the squad and fans.

There will be no Bodde before it's time , something I wish was the rule of thumb 18 or so months ago !! . The state of a player's health should be dealt with on medical information & not wishful thinking !!

What's the issue, let's be patient.... he's on a pay as you play!

Not to sound like the Field of Dreams, but if we build him .... he will come

Yeah - the legend who wanted to p**s off to Derby.

Bodde owes the Swans big time for looking after him. I hope he does make it back, but personally I think one heavy tackle will finish his career.

With all due respect PGF, he had his head turned by his agent before seeing sense and then committed his long term future to us. And one heavy tackle can finish anybody's career. If his ligament heals correctly, it will heal stronger than it was before his injuries and he won't have the injury in the same place again. Meaning that his knee won't be more brittle than it was before - he wasn't well known for injuries so if we can get him back properly, I think it will be for good. It's all down to timing from here on, back too soon one more time and his career is over. I do agree that he owes us though, not many clubs would nurse a player through such a long winded injury - especially given that we've had 2 manager changes since he got injured.

the signs are (imo) he is gone, good player as he is and has been mentioned previously, he will always be protecting his knee however having said that i hope that isnt the case. does he want, even in a super sub role, terry, vidic etc hammering him, i know i wouldn't, call me soft lol

It will be a lot clearer on his fitness when the 25 man squad is announced.
If he is in it he's ok.
If not well read between the lines.

    Personally he'll be back.

I think fully fit or not Bodde is in with a shout of making the 25. I think we've got space spare to add him in!

Very good point from bigkidderz as well though, he's not an injury prone player... He's just had a bad injury that wasn't allowed to fully heal. Let's hope this time it's all done right, which I think it will be.

Bodde is fine but not match fit and that is to be expected with the lay off he has had. Brendan and the coaches has him on a special fitness programme and all is doing well, the knee is fine and when Brendan thinks he is ready then he will play and not before...
