of Charlton: Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng is back on the agenda at Charlton Athletic, following the sacking of coach Chris Powell, as the Ghana international fights to get playing time to make the World Cup squad. Boateng has been on Charltonâs radar for a number of weeks, but sacked manager Chris Powell decided against signing Boateng. With Powell departed however, a loan move for the Ghanaian is back on the cards at The Valley. Boateng was signed by Fulham at the start of the season but has struggled for playing time at the club. His lack of playing time cost him his place in the Black Stars squad but with the World Cup approaching Boateng is seeking to play to attract the interest of Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah. The Club have indeed agreed to letting Derek Boateng go out on loan. Fulham manager Felix Magath has given midfielder Derek Boateng the green light to head out on loan. The Ghanaian has endured a frustrating time at Craven Cottage since his summer switch from Dnipro, making just two Premier League starts. Boateng hasn’t played at all since the FA Cup draw against Norwich in January and was close to joining Watford, only for a move to Vicarage Road to fall through. The 30-year-old, who has recently been linked with Championship strugglers Charlton, has failed to feature since Magath took charge last month. And the German coach has given Boateng permission to move on in a bid to save his World Cup dreams. Source: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...fulham-midfielder-made-available-loan-6859781
