From twitter Anthony Rivers‏@TonyRivers1927 Just had word from an impeccable source. Due to the furore and planned protests, Vincent Tan ready to ditch plan and walk away from #ccfc
Not sure H, I picked it up from a retweet. But as I said it's from Twitter some times take it with a pinch of salt, but why inflame things ?
Thanks Siam. The future will be interesting but perhaps not in such a positive way. But, hey, thats Cardiff City for you!!!!
A few forums are celebrating and now telling the owners to "f*** off" ......................... I worry about this. But yes Blue, unfortunately it is Cardiff City for you! We find a way to f*** things up.
cheers siam....same thing on OS http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10335~2766829,00.html It's not a great read if I'm honest. Obviously happy to stay in blue, happy to keep the badge but cant help thinking an opportunity to progress as a club has passed us by.
I also think the wording says a lot H...look for other investors etc... I feel this is a retreat......I actually feel a bit deflated now, Once more our future is unknown.
Malky must be kicking the dog. From a potential chance to progress and build, to who knows what we can afford. Maybe VT will make us suffer for a season, and then pitch it again....yeah right
I am fuming!!! This was the proposal of moving Cardiff City forward and some fans have ignored this in their blindness and cost us the chance of moving forward. I wasn't exactly the happiest at the idea of a kit change but I saw the benefits of further investment and making our future so much brighter. Absolute fools are the people who are celebrating this news. Can't believe that they haven't been able to look past colour and seen the massive benefits
The Malaysians are control freaks & they've always kicked Cardiff when they were down to get what they want ... And here they go again . They could have tried this a few months ago , pulled out like they are now & Cardiff could have gone into administration knowing they'd still be in the Championship with the point loss this past season . I believe pulling the stunt after the playoffs & threatening to pull out now takes that guarrenteed Championship option away because the points would be deducted this coming season. Is this semi valid thinking or Am I totally wrong in the possibility of any truth of this ?
Ouch, I'm not suprised the Malaysians are pretty annoyed with the reaction they've received. I think they could probably handle the angry fan element but the accusation of disrespect from Politicians etc will not have sat well with them at all. If that 20million figure is correct then I can get why they believe that should be interpreted as commitment! I really hope this isn't dead in the water and it's just them responding in kind to some of the reaction they've received. 70 million in debt, losing money every month, thats Administration material. We'll be league 1 after next season and summer will be about which players will be going not arriving unless there's some kind of solution.
they haven't threatened to pull out... just scrapped the intended investment plan "We will now reassess in conjunction with the board of the club the future strategy and the further ongoing investment necessary to allow the club to continue to trade. This may include looking for new and additional partners and investors" The pessimist in me thinks we could well go back to being a "selling in order to buy" club.... and the pessimist isn't allowed out that often.
Or they put an incedible offer on the table and had it thrown back in their faces. I do agree that if admin is the future we should have done it this year (be gutted if we do end up in Admin, it's basically theft).
They put Cardiff in the worst possible position by doing this after the season & threatening to pull out .... on purpose ( read between the lines bomber , there raising fear among the " Bluebirds " by mentioning " other investors & scrapping there " Big " investment . ) ...IMO .
