I know Newcastle are playing Bolton next Saturday and I have surrendered my ticket to my Dad to free my way to go to this local derby.

Is anyone else going to watch the mighty 'Heed Army' take on Blyth?

  2. Is it a friendly or something? They're not in the same league.

FA Trophy Quarter Final - im actually going to Carlisle V Sheff Wed match next saturday (in away end unfortunatley), so there would be 3 games i have a big interest in. Darlington are also still in. Would be class for the region if Whitley won the fa varse (again), Gateshead/blyth won the FA trophy, and Carlisle (i live in Northumberland) won the Football league trophy, and Newcastle won the... oh wait!

    HOWAY BLYTH!!!!!

It's my birthday on that day and I'm also quite a big Blyth fan so I'm definitely going to try and get there.

The story of how Blyth got to this tie is quite interesting and involves the most blatant handball you are likely ever to see in your life, noticed by everyone but the linesman and referee. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/article/31241/ Eurosport article including video of incident.

hell of a win today for the heed mind. 7-2 AWAY to wrexham who are in the playoffs and had previously only lost once at home. no sendings off either. cracking win

To score 7 away from home anytime is a bit special, but to score 7 against a team looking destined for promotion is excellent. Well done Gateshead!

FA Trophy QFs, first time Spartans have been there in my lifetime.

It's shaping up to be a canny tie, think last time we met it was a boring 1-0 (to a long-ball Gateshead side). Blyth won 4-0 against Hinkley today, Gateshead beat Wrexham 7-2 away! Hopefully it'll be a high-scoring game that sees Northumbria come top. <ok>

Young Tavernier getting a fair bit of experience as well at Gateshead, think he's their first choice RB now.

At Newcastle match but my Uncle's going. Hoping for a Gateshead win since they have a few ex-players and few loan players.
Went to see their FA Cup match down at Notts County as my sister is at Uni down there, and was brilliant craic.
