Now we're in L1 and they don't have city commentary are they just being ****s by shutting off the midweek forum to online? All 7:00 kickoff but just getting the 'contractural reasons commentary loop.'.

Do they just assume no epats/out of area supporters want to tune in /contribute?

Or are they just being crap?

No, they aren't allowed to do any coverage of League games online, not even updates.

It was the same even when City was around for full commentaries.

That's not my point. Usually they switch back the online coverage after the commentaries are finished so you get the forums and match reaction.

Tonight and last midweek though the commentary was a 7pm kickoff and they were still offline at 10pm.

Even with a 7:45 you'd usually get a half hour phone in and post match interviews.

The show finished at 10pm. I turned it on at full time on my fm radio and it worked. As soon as the match ends, it switches over. Not sure about online, but I can’t see why that would be any different.

Usually when the match ends they unblock the coverage but lately its been the entire programme after kickoff - forum and all. Obviously this is online as I can't get fm here.

Yes, I've found exactly the same thing. Could previously hear all the pre match stuff from 2.00 on a Saturday and then only went off just before 3.00 when could switch to Tigers TV or whatever it was, then could pick up again after match. My sense is that now if the match commentary is incorporated into a programme called Humberside Sport, then the whole programme gets blocked. It's annoying - no idea if can do anything about it. One more small step in trying to make it more difficult to support the club from a distance. I think btw that because the Saturday phone in at 5 is a separate programme you can get that - I could last week.

I wonder if it's just laziness on their producers part or contractural. Bottom line is though they're distancing themselves even further from their wider city audience in doing so.

The trouble with the 5pm slot is the clown fronting the programme, all he seems to do half the time is repeatedly giving out the phone number or text details. He drives me nuts with some of his inane questions.
