Bluememe Clive

I’ve been driven to visit other footy sites recently.

On JA606 my list of blocked posters has one interesting individual.

I assume this was just someone trying to cause trouble? This couldn’t be our bluememe and Clive somehow combined, could it?

 

Sorry, not too familiar with JA606 & it's formats, so I have no idea what your post means.

 

It says I filtered / put on ignore a poster there called ‘ bluememe Clive MON in’

 

I don't like witch hunts.
If a poster winds you up to the point of it being an issue put them on ignore.
If its temporary annoyance then you can unignore. If its on the LL scale of annoyance just leave them o ignore permanently.


Alternatively wind them up before they can do it to you!!!

So here’s why I’m banging on about our two new members

Please don’t be fooled, you may like the fact one or other of them is saying something a bit like your own views. You may believe in free speech.

I’ve encountered posters with the same / similar names before. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Both always strike me as being of similar style, sometimes they agree with each other, sometimes they disagree, they often appear at same time. I have no idea if it’s one typist or two.

I believe their effect (and it may also be an intention) is to disrupt the site. They pick contentious positions that many will disagree with and some will like. In the past it’s been things like
- bring MON in
- Grayson is a useless fraud
Both at a time when a lot would disagree and want to debate them but a few would agree

These views are then repeated day after day with apparently reasoned arguments. People who could be having proper debates get sucked into disagreeing. With luck, some posters will agree and then they can sit back and watch the regular posters fight it out, just stoking things up again when it goes quiet. The result is their debates dominate the site and other more normal subjects are not aired.

Currently I see Clive is saying he is happy, with how things are, but that he was right about Monk being useless and he’s still talking about Grayson being useless

Blue Meme seems to have latched onto ‘bring back Warnock’ as a theme

In both cases these are going to get plenty of disagreement and probably a bit of support. They are very bald statements it’s hard not to have an opinion on. Ideal if you want to monopolise a forum with your subject matter.

If a poster puts up stuff you don’t like, usually you either say so or you put them on ignore. In this case however - because these posters will drive the debate on the site and distort it - I believe I need to raise the issue

I hope this explains why I have a problem with them being on the site. If a bit of what they say resonates with you, don’t be fooled, their presence will disrupt this site.

Not calling for a decision on banning, I’m warning people what to expect. People need to have some time to form their own views

Always thought they were the same person, on another thread @bucks_is_leeds has asked brb to run an IP check. I think if it is one person they have a way around it, if it is two people then they sure as hell know one another and are in cahoots.

By the way, I’m not saying I want either account banned, I’m happy to ignore when required

 

It’s not the views they hold. It’s how they shoehorn them into every debate, derail every thread... and complain bitterly that everyone dislikes them for being right

But they/he/she/it are getting what they want... attention.
