It looks as if we may just be playing Derby County at the right time.Following their convincing win over Pompey last weekend Cloughies lads suffered further injuries to an already depleted squad. Injuries on Saturday saw defender Mark O'Brien and strikers Theo Robinson and Chris Maguire withdrawn.Add to this Shaun Barker, John Brayford, Steven Davies, Nathan Tyson, James Bailey, Paul Green and former Bluebird Chris Riggott. Could a win Wednesday kickstart a good away run or will Pride Park come before a fall?
Christ Bobby - your'e taking a bloody chance putting up a football thread mate! After Sunday, I can see the squad taking a lot of heart in getting that point, and I think we can push on. After the first half dozen games of the season, I had Derby down as the most likeliest of those top 6 clubs at the time to eventually fall away - I still think that's the case. A win for Malky tomorrow will be a very nice boost and I believe it's on the cards.
Eternal optomist you. I'm as surprised as the next person at Derby's early season. Wonder what has brought back the Pride to the Park? I thought this thread might give absent friends some football to talk about.
This game is the one where we start changing draws to wins. 9 games in the championship tonight hope a few go your way.
I had a sneaking suspicion that Derby might do well this season (I said it ages ago honest ) and my forecast for tomorrow is a score draw I've gone for 2-2, picking up points away at places like Leeds and Derby is not bad, it's dropping silly points at home that is currently holding us back.
Evening Proph! Like Oldsparkler I think we have a good chance of turning them over up there, what with all their injuries and a rumour I heared that the 15 year old wonderkid Bennett has detention after school tomorrow.
See Donny wanted the Beast on loan again but offered to pay less of his wage this time, Malky said NO
Table doesn't look too bad at the moment. With practically a fully fit squad (bar Rudy), there's no reason we can't take all 3 pts tomorrow (didn't know about their injury list until I just read OP) That'll put us 5th, 1 pt behind Palace going into Saturdays game... I've gone for a 2-1 win
It's our first fixture of that dreaded month again.Let's just hope for a change in fortune with a touch of Malky magic.
