With regards to Nigel Pearson's impending Lesterrr departure. What does everyone with Simpson's situation. Do yoo fink it will help or hinder our pursuit of him with a new boss coming in for hull who may not know him?
Don't see the problem with him wanting to stay in London. I think he's surplus to requirements here. Good luck to him, just wasn't to be for him at City. I'll change my mind though if he bloody scores against us.
He never seems to have settled up here, so I'd assume everything would stay the same, and he'd likely move if you bid in January. The fly in the ointment though is that if Pearson goes, then we definitely won't be getting Waghorn back, and that was the initial deal which took Simpson to you guys. As long as a goal scorer comes in in January though, I'd assume You'll still be getting Simpson.
Barmby's been doing his badges, and quite a few suggest that he could be in the new management set up in some shape or form. If so, he has knowledge of Simpson - but the OP suggested that a new manager wouldn't know him.
Now he's finding form with Millall I don't see what could attract him to come back up here were he didn't seems to be altogether happy. Shame as he has the potential to be a good player at this level.
How long a contract is he on here? Think we were only giving out 2 year deals, weren't we? So even if we pulled him back, we'd only have until the summer.
New manager will recall him to see if he's any good, fairly standard with a new manager checking out any player on loan. Unless Jay makes it very clear he wants to move I can see any deal that may have been in place collapsing.
If Simpson keeps banging in goals for you then I expect our new manager, assuming Pearson is going, will want to at least have a look at him in training and possibly give him some games back here. However, I doubt the change of manager will change Jay's mindset, I expect he'll still be all for a move back down south.
well no matter who comes in as manager, barmby will still be there. He knows all about Simpson's potential (or not as the case may be) and can therefore advise. I think he is yours!
