I've just opened my post. A letter from Sky saying my payment will go up by £3 in May. They've just bought the rights to the majority of Premier League games for an obscene amount of money. So, together with millions of others, I'm lining the pockets of the Premier League. Bluddy cheek!
I said it before and will say it again **** THE PREMIER LEAGUE the most overrated league in the world. **** IT
May I suggest that you advise them that this increase is the last straw and that you are thinking, in today economy, of cutting back. They like all companies do not like loosing clients and have been known to make substantial discounts, usualy for 10 month, but I would insist on 12 months. I left them last October and although they have made very generous offers to get me return, ihave not done so as I signed up with BT. I am not one who has to watch all football, but I do miss the major golf and the test matched , but making saving of thiry pounds a month was quite an attraction, as Bt do my phone and broadband, which will be the next for discussion on renewal
While everyone seemed to be celebrating the new TV deal one important fact seemed to be overlooked...the fans/consumers will be footing the bill. Hopefully people will start realising what an average product the Premier League actually is and then its value will have to come down. I prefer the Football League Show to MoTD anyway.
Thanks for the advice! I made a stroppy 'phone call and now instead of a £3 increase they've taken £5 off for the next 10 months. They said I was a 'valued customer'!
I wont buy Sky. I've got BT Sport as part of my Broadband package and in fairness its great, Some Prem footy, Conference footy, Moto GP exclusive which i bloody love and of course Scottish Prem and Football League which is something i can't do without. please log in to view this image
I just did the same! I moaned saying I been with Sky for over 10 years and got the tv, broadband and phone package. The tv package has all thew channels, sports/movies etc etc. My bill is around £90 a month! I said I think im a very loyal customer and should be valued at that. I said im pretty annoyed that new customers get lots of cheap deal like free broadband for 6 months or 1 year or free sky sports package for 6 months etc, while a very loyal customer for over 10 years get sod all but a letter saying my bill is going up! I said I will be getting quote from BT for the packages that I want as I feel im not a valued customer. The lady apologised and refunded my account by £25 as a good will gesture, along with making my sports and movie package free for 6 months so im saving like £10 or whatever it is for 9 months. I thanked her but declinded. I said its a bit late now. Loyal customers should be treat valuable for life and not just for 6 months. I said what she was offering was a good deal but should have been offered anyway showing you value your customers and not offer the deals because I moaned. I said I still will be looking at BT and shopping around in view of leaving sky asap. She apologised again and put me on hold for what seemed like 30 seconds and then offered me the same deal as mentioned above but get sports and movies for 9 months and not 6 months, I still get £25 refunded to my account and will now add £100 M&S voucher in the post. She said her supervisor has allowed her to do this but that is the best they can give me. I accepted it of course but warned them to take care of their loyal customers better than what they have done! Happy days! £125 coming my way, in form of refund and a voucher which the wife will have as I dont use M&S. Cheaper bill too for 9 months!! Cheers all
I am glad that I was of some help, I was offered 1/2 price for 10 months but refused it on the basis that It was only done when I told them I was leaving. Ps Don't like Rupert Murdoch, as i believe the large amount of money his company has thrown at pro sport has not been for the better in most cases
Would never take Sky or anything else to do with the vile Digger. Poor value for money and they even have the cheek to make you sit through adverts for the £700+ you fork out for the full package. Sky can **** right off. Besides my mate's got it if I really want to watch a specific game!
