****ing joke aint it!. Interesting to see how some of these QPR players play though, seeing as though we'll probs be in for a few in the summer
Im not sure but the ref needs to have a word with himself, as if they need help !!!, but the FA really need to sort this **** out, nothing short of a 5 match ban for diving should be implemented it would sort it out very quickly !!
Not just diving - any form of cheating. Managers would soon get a grip on it if they knew players would be unavailable
Becchio cheated on Friday when he grabbed their player in the penalty box, just as bad as diving in my opinion.
And I wouldn't have a problem with him being done for it using video evidence if all incidents could be reviewed and punishments doled out.
It seems like every week it's in the headlines "manchester united secure victory after rooney scores a controversial penalty"
They've always been the darlings of the Premier League, FA and all the media. The flagship side, if they hit financial difficulties the League would bend over backwards to help them. It's an outrage. Since the Munich disaster they have always been treated differently, this was the main reason Leeds United of the late 60's and early 70's were so badly treated all to do with the threatening The Scum.
Last week Fulham were denied a penalty against scum. But every one knows Ashly young is a diver & he still get the penalties. Wigan were done last night as well.
Unfortunate missed offside calls in yesterday's Chelsea game and today's Moan U game. I guarantee you that the referees are beating themselves up over these errors.
Just heard Mark Hughes talking about the missed offside call. It really does not help when managers really don't know what they are talking about. "Hard for the assistant referee to put up his flag and over rule the referee after he has pointed to the spot and given the penalty." Assistant referees are there to assist. The referee makes the final decision. The referee could have changed the call and given the free kick for offside before the penalty kick was taken. I don't think the assistant saw the offside.
The assistant would have to be blind to miss it! Btw Jonny, good band from LA has been making good over here & is back in US now. Playing LA later this month ... http://www.theelrey.com/view-details.php?id=35233http://www.theelrey.com/view-details.php?id=35233. Check out Vintage Trouble on Youtube, especially the set from Jools Holland show over here. You won't be disappointed. Seen them myself twice so far.
assistant referees don't do anything except back up the referee. It's rare to see them make a decision for themselves, instead just flagging whatever way the referee does.
I wonder how many points scum would be on if they hadn't had the league handed to them on a plate by referee's. Their dipshit fans constantly go on about "you don't win 19 titles from biased referee's", but at the same time I guarantee the season wouldn't be over had they had what they deserve from referee's. Man City would still be in it, I can think of at least one incident that saw them get points they didn't deserve, and these things have a tendency to snowball - that one point they got at Chelsea could have meant a psychological difference enough to change their performances. It absolutely ruins the game. They've ruined the game for long enough, time to **** off and resume normal service. The Premier League is so often praised for it's competitive nature. It's not. It should be like the old days, where any team in the league has the means to compete and potentially win the league.
I still can't get over the sending off City received at Eastlands in the FA Cup game against Man U. When he won the ball in normal time i thought great challenge and then when the ref stopped it i couldn't understand what was going on. Then when the red was produced i was totally shocked, absolute disgusting decision. Typical though the only outrageous decision i can remember going against the scum was when they drew against Newcastle and they cost me over £100.
