    Our last seven games:

Wolves away: they should have got a penalty (Taylor challenge)
Spurs home: Conceded a penalty (Taylor)
Wigan home: no penalty shout that I remember
    Blackburn away: penalty conceded
    Stoke away: Penalty conceded
Everton home: they should have got a penalty (Gosling handball)
Man City away: two penalties given away

We've conceded five penalties, and should have given away two more.

Something for the defensive coaches to work on. I'm sticking ten quid on us conceding one at Old Trafford next week. May as well make some money from a near dead cert.

And people were saying we don't have a defence problem <whistle>

So frustrating that we **** ourselves over like that.

What's more frustrating is that we never seem to save them despite having otherwise excellent keepers for years. I don't recall a time where a penalty has been conceded and I've thought 'keepers got a chance here'. I'm past the point of thinking 'come on son, you can stop it' and am firmly in the 'hope he puts it over' camp. But strangely, after all the years of heartache still think we can get a last minute equaliser from a corner or free kick. It's not like we've been renowned for that in the past is it?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have a question: Can a ref award a freekick in the box for a handball instead of a penalty ?

Indirect free kicks in the box can only be given for picking up a pass-back as far as I know.

Silly me ... Thought that they could be given when the offending player didn't stop a direct goal scoring chance ...

This has been happening for a quite few years now, giving away penalties every couple of games
