Been away for a long weekend, another draw away at a side that banged five in last game.A team that has just been promoted, and are on a high at present.

We sit third unbeaten this season, and we have six new players in the team, still gelling and learning each others weakness and strengths.

I am 100% happy with that, as should be every city fan who cares about our club.
We will get better and better as time goes by.

When the opposition manager says make no mistake Bristol City will be promoted this season, that tells you how far we have come.

When their fans say our bench cost more than the entire team, that tells you what depth we have.

I do believe promotion sides do need to win at places like Rochdale, however a draw is the next best thing.

For me we will get better and better, promotion is a must SL has backed SC all the way, anything less will be a complete failure, however i have complete confidence come May 2015 SC will have done his job and have us promoted.

We have come a long way in a very short time, sit tight boys and girls, good things come to those that wait.

I truly believe we will be back in the championship next season.

Well said Red Robin. We will have our bumpy spells when points are not gathered regularly but I, like you, believe that we will achieve our goal in May 2015.

It's a good start but there are a couple of niggling doubts about our ability to win the 1-0 games which will make a huge difference at the end of the season.

We are far from the finished article. Cotts says we will get better as time goes by and I hope he's right
So far we caught Sheff Utd cold on the opening day, BUT we rode our luck at 1-1 and could easily have gone in 2-1 or even 3-1 down at half time
We lacked a bit of concentration against Colchester but managed to turn it around in the second half against one of the favourites for relegation, and at 1-0 up away at Rochdale we needed to kill the game off or put men behind the ball and take all 3 points. We need to learn quickly and I hope those 2 lost points don't come back to haunt us at the end of the season

'I hope those 2 lost points don't come back to haunt us at the end of the season'

The 2 points might not matter, it's Cotterill's decisions that might worry us more.
We have, by some distance the best squad in L1.

However, El Abd, comes on against Orient WTF, Ayling to midfield WTF. Jet on for 30 seconds WTF.
Wagstaff comes on Saturday, beyond words.
FFS it was down to Fielding, yes Fielding we even got a point.

Is he another Danny Wilson - best squad and losing P/Os - at best ?
    Just asking chaps.

Lets hope the experimenting stops soon

We need a settled and gelled first 11 with some decent second strings close behind keeping them on their toes. I don't include El Abd in either category, nor Fielding in the starting 11.

Apparently Fielding made a fantastic save to keep us in the game, but he is not the answer long term.
Priority is a new NO1 however it may take time for the right man to come along.

We do not want has beens and journeymen though.

Its been a good start but this momentum needs to continue- All to often, this has happened before only for us to be BCFC and shoot ourselves in the foot- Its not an easy division but one we should be capable of getting out of- The bookies have recognised this, but the only thing that will get us there is getting the necessary number of points on the board though wins and draws. - So far so good, but lets keep it going-

This is the best start we have made for some time.
We also need to remember that we have quite a few new players - they are still learning about how to play with each other and the system that we want to play (especially when we don't have the ball).
