Agent reveals Faurlin interest ALI Faurlin is attracting interest from two Premier League clubs and a side from Serie A, according to his agent. The QPR midfielder, who is contracted to Loftus Road until 2014, has hit the ground running after a frustrating finale last season when his irregular transfer to Hoops in 2009 looked set to cost Rangers vital Championship points. And Faurlin’s agent Lucas Cominelli admitted the Argentine ace's promising start in the top-flight hasn't gone unnoticed. He said: “I’m not encouraging calls because Ali is very happy at QPR. “But when the phone rings and there are two Premiership teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it’s a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight.” Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest QPR news. Inevitable the way he is playing, just got to hope he keeps focused and keeps it up; we will be lucky to hold on to him for another season IMO.
Looks like he's setting Faurlin up for a pay rise Of all our players from last season that have stepped up (Kenny, Hill, Faurlin, Mackie, HH) he's the one that has shown the most improvement. Apart from the odd error he has looked class so far, and imo will only get better playing in the middle with Barton Hopefully NW will tie him down with a contract extension anorl
...I think the Big test for the board will be to Hold on to Ali.. If they let him go...what does that say about the future of the club. I stongly believe he's our future captain....
Completely agree. He's basically saying that he's doing well, there's interest but he wants to stay so treat him better. I'd guess agents would do that for players locked into longer contracts to raise the player's profile to both his club and any potential suitors.
Please inform me why footballers need agents? Again in the real days of football the players did not have them as they made their own terms another club by them selfs! Can the players not think for them selfs any more?
Neil Warnock slaps £17m price tag on QPR star QPR have slapped a £17million price tag on Ali Faurlin after two Premiership clubs and one from Serie A made enquiries about the midfield maestro this week. Neil Warnock gave his player an ear-wigging as he left the pitch following Saturday’s 1-1 with West Brom, but the manager last night insisted the Argentine would be the very last player to leave Loftus Road. Warnock watched tomorrow’s (Saturday) opponents Liverpool lose at Fulham on Monday night and admitted he would fight tooth and nail to keep Faurlin. “If say, Jordan Henderson is worth what Liverpool paid for him,” the manager told the Chronicle, “then Ali’s got to be worth more than that. “I said when we gave him an extended deal last year to 2014, he was the best signing I made at QPR, and he would be the very last to leave.” Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest QPR news. iReader
Ali is the heartbeat of our team at present, he'll certainly command a bigger fee as he's putting in the performances. I 'aired' this story from the Soccerway site a few weeks ago and it's exactly the same now as it was then, the journos and agent are just ****-stirring. I doubt if he'll be going anywhere in January, but star performances against Liverpool/Man U in the next week could change all that...
£17 mil for Ali? Under contract till Jan 2014, and the board dn't need the money. he seems happy and settled at QPR so maybe we should show our ambiton and offer him better and longer cotrat at end of season if we survive?
Whether or not there's any truth in talk about other clubs sniffing around, this kind of stuff makes me very uncomfortable. The last thing we need is for Ali's head to be turned by a bigger club making an offer. That's exactly what happened with Charlie Adam last year at Blackpool, after Liverpool sniffed around in January he was not the same player, and I think Blackpool would have stayed up if he had stayed in the kind of form he was in the first half of the season.
Ali's a great player and (at the risk of attracting bricbats from Rollercoaster and Brix) let's give some credit to Paladini who was instrumental in getting him to the club
