On Challenge TV just now - Simon Mayo presenting. I'll have a 'p' please, Simon. Not the same, is it?
I don't understand their thinking. It's adults that play now instead of schoolkids, but they haven't made the questions any harder to take this into account. The dumbing down of Britain continues. Challenge are also showing 'Cleverdicks' which has a better standard of questions and a decent format, but has the major drawback of being hosted by Ann Widdecombe. Not only does she look like Quasimodo's ugly sister, but her voice goes right through you.
Best gameshow ever was Lesley Crowther's The Price is Right. About 1985-ish, marvellous stuff. Would watch that while getting ready to go out on the town. Happy memories.
Catchphrase was good too. The prizes on there were brilliant, considering how long ago it was on. Roy Walker is some high wizard or something, in the OO btw.
**** sake thats what I meant to say, my niece watches Catchphrase not ****ing countdown <spackeralert>
**** off you lot, Leslie Crowther was the man. He also had one of the coolest son-in-laws in town (Phil Lynott).
Naw am being deadly serious she watches it on one of them channels that shows all the old shows all the time
What about bullseye? It's always a laugh watching that back now and seeing the "brilliant" prizes Behind Bully there was always either a ****ty caravan or a C reg fiesta
