11 weeks into the season and norwich,,swansea and QPR are 9th,,10th and 11th in the premiership. .come on now. who the **** would have believed that 3 months ago even you musty would have expected the three new boys to be struggling
no way kiwi, my preseason predictions were for all three newbies to stay up however 9, 10, 11 is better than what i imagined. on another note, roar not beating 9 man victory was a massive disapointment. watched the qpr v man c match after the swans game, what a cracker it was
i know most of you on here wont believe me but i hope all 3 promoted sides stay up even you lot roar will always be a disapointment phoenix always have a good team...on paper...shame they dont play on paper
Before we started the season, i predicted Norwich to finish 12th, QPR to stay up and Swans to get relegated because of their terrible away form I hope we all survive though
I am surprised nobody has picked up on it Thai, we have won only 1 out of our last 20 something prem away games stretching back about 8 years.......
I think we can forget the Worthington season, he & the board failed to assemble a decent squad last time.
Do you know the stats Thai? We beat Bolton away but before that the run went a good chunk into the previous season too.. I am guessing about 30 away matches? Can t find the exact figure.... If anyone knows please enlighten me
It was the last 13 games in the PL season 1994/95 http://www.norwichcity-mad.co.uk/footydb/loadtmrs.asp?ssnno=124&teamno=400
13 without a win 94,95 plus 19 for the Worthy season =32 then Wigan and Chelsea 34 ..... Was it 1 win in 34 away? That was my underlining theme when ribbing the Swans but i was hoping that they would realise the irony of my japes..Hit the road always bites
It doesn't surprise me at all, having watched the rubbish football that Wolves, West Brom, Birmingham, and Wigan dished out last season, I fully expected all three of our teams, to give a good account of themselves, but it's still early doors, I wonder if it will look the same come January, though there are too many poorer teams than our three, so we may well break the record books come end of season!............ please log in to view this image
We are all doing well, but 9th 10th & 11th doesn't really tell the whole story does it? We (Norwich) are 9th and still only 4pts off the relegation zone. We are all in a battle, one we are currently winning, but far, far from safe yet.
To put into context this position, if we lose against utd, and all the teams below us win, we could be down to 17th, it's not likely though as some of the teams below us are probably playing each other (ain't checked)
The league has already split into two with the top 7 pulling away and opening up a gap. Villa are in no mans land in 8th - but there's not much to choose between teams from 9th down to 18th. At least the Premier League is more predictable than the Championship - you can usually rely in the top teams to beat the bottom teams.
