Who do you think would be the top 3 performers in the bleep test this season ? I would go for: 1) Park 2) Mackie 3) SWP
Never played football mate? It's a running/stamina test.
For many years. But never heard that phrase! Oh but of course I'm pretending not to know what he's on about...............
Fabio???????????? Hate to break it to you guys but his energy and commitment is one of his failings. He cost a couple of goals for United last year by not tracking back and just giving up. On Tuesday he showed it again when he put a good run in to the corner but had no interest in getting back in position. Ferdinand was screaming merry hell at him. Don't get me wrong he's good and did really well but it's a little chink and he'll need the odd kick up the r's!
It's not just about fitness and stamina when you do a bleep test, practise plays a big part in it too. Gazza was actually one of the best at this when he played. Timing your runs so you reach the end bang on the bleep saves lots of energy. I beat many who were deemed fitter than me, during sports science. We also had to do a sit up one as well, that was about 10 times worse!!
1) Wayne Rooney 2) Graham Taylor 3) Al Pacino as Scarface (pre watershed edition). Is there a prize for getting this right?
Another who remembers Gazza doing the test when he played for Lazio. He did it with the England team annd wiped the floor with the lot of them...had forgotten that. I reckon 1. Park 2. Mackie 3. SWP
Beep test and shuttle runs both design by sadists. Don't know about first but likely it would be Adel last.
Heard Sparky is particularly into fitness training. Didn't he have that "hill" installed at man city?
I used to do the beep beep test where I used to run around the pitch in my speedos being chased by a wolf type animal
