So in 2010 when England suffered from the lack of goal line technology against Germany Blatter didn't seem to bothered about technology and now that England have benefited from a lack of goal line technology Blatter now wants goal line technology! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18520916
Acctually, and I'm not fan of blatter, it was lampard's "goal" which initially changed his mind and started all the trials of goal line technology which are now to be voted on by IFAB
But after the Lampard goal he still seemed wry anti-goal line technology. Now he's saying it's a necessity.
My Sad Bladder could do with some technology but I'm not having an official staring at me while I'm trying (unsucessfully) to have a piss. I could take as many drugs as there are and get away with winning the TdeF.
Wonky he said that they would "reopen the discussion about goal line tech" the day after lampard goal. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/30/sports/soccer/30ref.html?_r=1&hp
He still didn't seem as keen as he is now. Just read an interesting article on the officials behind the goal which was interesting. Apparently rules say they are not allowed to make gestures, which I think is a bit of a ridiculous rule and apparently the official behind the goal played a big part in Terry's sending off against Barcelona as, I guess, he spotted the incident and the ref didn't. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...se-of-these-bungling-goal-line-officials.html
