Yeah, I'm sure our outrage at them accepting bribes from other countries, whose bids were far worse than ours, is purely down to an election in 1974...
I didn't even know about Sir Stanley Rous, but I still thought Blatter was a corrupt ****.

Guess England are doing something right then. Let's be honest FIFA should be destroyed, and then started again after a complete reform in both structure and personnel

I seem to recall that Karl-Heinz Rumminigge has been rather scathing in recent months in his criticism of Blatter's handling of FIFA and he's a German, Chairman of the European Club Association and the man representing the opinions of the major European Clubs. He's even gone so far as to threaten a potential break away from FIFA and UEFA if those organizations do not improve their public appearance, their transparancy and permit the Clubs more say on international affairs - because he says, FIFA and UEFA need the European Clubs but the European Clubs dont need FIFA and UEFA.

Furthermore criticism of FIFA and allegations of bribery against FIFA executives have emerged from the Netherlands in the past year and Scotland a few years ago and even from its own executives back in the 1990's when Havelange was handing over to Blatter - Blatter came to power in 1998 amidst a storm of bribery and vote rigging, allegations of which were silenced in the early 2000's by multi-million pound out of court settlements which neither proved his guilt nor affirmed his innocence.

So Blatter trying to pass this upheavel off as emanating from one place only is just a further sign of his unwillingness to accept that there are problems within FIFA than need to be solved, and its a further sign of his unwillingness to do what is required to solve those problems. He's trying to turn the Football world against England so he can turn the focus on to someone else so he can wallow in his own stangation.

Blatter is a corrupt, amoral careerist who couldn't care less about the fate of the beautiful game as long as his pockets are well lined. A ridiculous joke of a man.

To be fair, he's not the only one to blame England for everything that's gone wrong in his reign. Gaddafi, Mugabe and Ahmadinejad all did the same too. Ah, Sepp's in good company...

The man is a total c**t. It really is a shame on the rest of the world that we seem to be a lone voice against this most corrupt of organisations. I really hope that there is a breakaway of the clubs from UEFA and FIFA as this may start the ball rolling for nations to leave FIFA and the brown envelops wil finally stop money pouring out of the game and out of their grubby little paws.

Asked about the corruption allegations aimed at his organisation, the Fifa president told the Brazilian newspaper Estado de São Paulo: "I would like to say the following: We have bad losers in Fifa. Also we have to say that some of our actors and two of our key players have not behaved well.

Mmmmmm 2 of our actors and 2 of our key players have not behaved well, sounds like the usual rant from a football manager when interviewed on TV. Shame England had to point out the corruption before he admitted these 4 'actors and key players' had not behaved well.
