The dinosaurs weren't wiped out by the meteor..... Eddie left the gas on and it changed the chemical composition of the atmosphere making it impossible for them to breath.

Apparently Covid didn't start in a lab in China.... Eddie went on holiday to Wuhan with a heavy cold and things took off from there.
