    Blackpool....... v .......Leeds Utd

The Whites make the short trip to Bloomfield Road on Boxing Day looking to consolidate 5th position, and with Ipswich, Forest, Brighton and Reading, hot on our heels, only three points will do.

This is not going to be easy, as we have not won at Blackpool since 1967, although we have only played them three times since then away from home.

We are all aware that our away record is fragile, having lost six out of our last eight games on the road. Looking on the bright side we have won two out of our last three outings.

Things are not going all Blackpool's way either. They have lost their last four games, and have slipped to 10th place. Three out of the four defeats have been away from home.

Paul Ince' men will be looking to get back to winning ways, and who better, then against Leeds Utd.

Striker Ricardo Fuller and centre-back Gary MacKenzie have both been rated doubtful with hamstring injuries, but midfielder Angel Martinez is available for selection again following a two-match suspension.

McDermott has to decide whether to replace the suspended Murphy with either Tonge or Michael Brown!

Scott Wootton has recovered from an ankle complaint and could feature as Zaliukas is struggling with an injury caused at the Barnsley game that saw Tugay sent off.

Those of you who are guests, take a few minutes to sign up. Its free, its non committal and we are a good bunch

McDermott made his players train today, whilst he took a break (he was out of kitkats). I reckon it was more about discipline, and letting his players know who's in charge.

    People's thoughts?

That true about Brian taking the day off? Bit harsh, think he should be demonstrating that while he's a hard task master, they are still all in it together

I can see Warnock doing something like that but hard to believe BeeMacDee did it.

Good way to lose the dressing room, eh....?

Last year Warnock gave the players Christmas Day off and we then lost at Forest on Boxing Day, and then lost at Hull three days later (albeit with a half fit Davide Somma leading the line)

Morning all. Should be a good game. Let's hope we improve on our last game and bring home a 1-0 at least.

Morning gents. Day of over indulgence over. For us plastics who don't attend every week, these live sky matches are a blessing. Really hoping for a drastic improvement over our usual Xmas shambles. Trust everyone had great Xmas. My eldest lasses best friend arrived home from New Zealand unannounced Xmas day. The look of shock on our girls face was priceless
