Seems to have been rather a slow uptake on the news, though I see it just came up as the BBC Sport headline.

They have fought a long and and hard battle against their owners, with scant media coverage and the usual fence-sitting ****s who infest football journalism and the Football League hierarchy. Disgusting bullying raping jailbird owners. Shame on the ****s who run football who have allowed the parasitical Oystons to leech for so long on a well-respected old football club. Go the lashers!

The EFL and FA ought to answer to this. Above all the premier league who have ****ed football into the clusterfuck it is today. The bunch of useless ****s.
It seems that in Blackpool's case going into receivership is a positive, as they take the running of the club out of the hands of the Oyston's.. A sorry state of affairs, but great credit has to be given to the supporters who have fought a long and hard battle.
A 12 point deduction would still leave them above the relegation zone - just. I guess any Blackpool fan would take that right now. Rid of the Oystons and a real chance of maintaining League one status.
They will be absolutely fine stYing in league one. I would say their results would get a lift from this and move back up the league, no problem
On BBC north west, it said that it is not mandatory and the EFL can exercise discretion. They aren't meeting to discuss it till March. I think it should be waived in this case.
