Looks like Rodgers will now let Dobbie play some football at last! I want to thank Stephen for scoring one and setting up another at the Forest semi-final, and for his momentous input and best goal of the final at Wembley. He's a talent that needs to prosper some where, but it doesn't look as if it's going to be here, so wish him the very best wherever he ends up, but I feel his career has sadly come to end at Swansea City, but he will always remain one of my favourite players. Blackpool look set to benefit from his services if Sky Sport are to be believed, he does have a talent for a challenge, and can quite rightly be considered the play-off specialist, all the best Dobbie, and many, many thanks!............... please log in to view this image Dobbie- The Wembley Talisman Link: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7616916/
One of my favourite players and I will be very sad to see him go. I still think that he could do a squad job for us and, had he had more games, I'm sure that he would have found some form and made a decent contribution. Not to be but I wish him well and hope he gets what he deserves from the game. I'll follow his career with interest wherever he goes.
I think the writing is on the wall as they say aswan, he's not figured at all, bar the couple of games he was thrown early season as a token, make no mistake he won't hang around, he wants to play, and who can blame him, when asked he's always stepped up and delivered, even though he's had two managers that have dropped him into our dire reserves set up! He's gone can't see anything else happening................ please log in to view this image
Best wishes to him if he goes there, I think that survival in the premier league was needed before we considered loaning him out, he is well respected at Blackpool and I hope he has a say in them going up for next season.
Lol. I can never tell with you Phill whether these posts are all your own work or one of your cut 'n paste specials! Whatever. Good post and I'm chuffed for Dobbie. Along with Sinclair the guy was instrumental in us winning the Final and as rightly pointed out he scored the best goal in that game by a country mile. Also played a huge part in us beating Forest in the semi. He deserves more than reserve football and I hope we have a role for him in the future. If not, good luck Stephen, we owe you so much. Oh, and don't forget to score the winner in the playoffs to knock Cardiff out.
Let me join in the best wishes to Stephen. Hopefully,he will help to fire Blackpool back to The Premier League. "don't forget to score the winner in the playoffs to knock Cardiff out". You don't really want them to get that far,do you,Knackered?
I heard Malky on the radio, apparently he is going to "phone around" looking for a loan player before todays deadline. Can this really be the Club that has multi billionaire owners, who were going to show The Swans' a clean pair of heels???
I will be sorry to see him go, i love Dobbie and liked him from the first time i saw him, he can call himself a Premership player by at least being part of things here and was integral to our success in the championship. I dont think there are many fans who didnt rate him, though i think the way our team plays nowadays it kind of pushed him more to the sidelines, probably bacause he isnt as versatile as our other bench options. Like Pratley we are/were probably outgrowing his use to us, im happy to see him go if thats what he wants but i also think buck was right to keep him here until we were secured in our prem survival. Hopefully he goes to Blackpool plays awesome and gets them into the premier league again, good luck Dobbie, a true Swans favourite
Good luck Dobbie. You deserve 1st team action & hope you get the chance of a hat-trick of play-off final winners medals!!!
Ian Hollaway - “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Stephen back to the club. I have tried to sign him a number of times since his successful loan in 2010 and he will give us a massive boost for the run in. "He had a number of other options and I am delighted he chose us. I would also like to thank Brendan Rodgers and Swansea for allowing him to come and I am like me our supporters can't wait to see him pull on the Tangerine shirt again."
i really glad he is going, he deserves to play in the first team and there is no way he would get in ours. championship football is his level so good luck to the lad...
Thanks to Dobbie for all his efforts in the white shirt of the Swans especially at Wembley, that third goal will be always be remembered by Swans fans. Hope he is successful again at Blackpool, can see it being made a permanent deal as he has hardly featured at all for us this season. Good Luck Dobbs.
Good luck to dobbs. Wish him all the luck in the world. I'll still be wearing his name on the back of my shirt with pride. Always loved the way he played and how he made so much space for himself and of course those very important goals he scored last season when it really mattered. Hone he does it again for Blackpool and hope to see him again next season either for us or Blackpool.
Well it's official and all that now, wish him all the very best up there. http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2688246,00.html
Dai, Dobbie given the chance can do more than championship level, he just needs a manager to believe in him and give him a run of games, which Sousa, and Rodgers didn't! Anyway he will keep the Bluetits out of the Prem for sure........ I would like to assure our Knackered Jack, that the article is indeed written by my good self! ........
