Not much info about this game to go up yet, no previous competitive games to speak of, or team news...but thought I'd get the thread up nice and early to give people a chance to discuss it, and what the general thoughts/expectations/hopes are for the season ahead. I'm encouraged that we've scored 18 goals in our first five pre-season games, with a range of scorers and Bonne netting a few. However, the 1-1 draw with Hallescher and conceding 3 goals to Crawley Town is a worry for me. Good to see Kelman get a goal too. Team news and managers comments to go up nearer the time, but as stated above, just want to get the thread up and start a discussion about expectations. I am in two minds...the optimist in me wonders if Mick Beale will work wonders, and get the best out of this group, in which case it could be an exciting season ahead. The pessimist in me looks at our squad, and wonders if injuries to a few key players, which happen so often, will leave us lacking quality...particularly looking at the front four, and wondering if Dykes gets another injury, if Bonne, Kelman and Roberts will have enough between them to get the goals needed. Team News QPR: Summer signing Tyler Roberts is a doubt for Rangers. Blackburn: Rovers have no injury concerns. Pre-match Talk Mick Beale (QPR head coach): “This is a really open and intriguing game. Both teams are very good in the final third, so it will perhaps be about who settles earlier and which team’s attacking players are more ruthless on the day. “I expect both teams to have good seasons.” Jon Dahl Tomasson (Blackburn head coach): “I’m a little bit boring, for me it’s the first game and the first game of what will be many matches. “Every player should be able to wake up in the night and think about what they’re doing the next day, what will happen in the game. They will be prepared to do the right things.” Add your thoughts, hopes and dreams below. ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Hoping to see us coming out of the blocks with energy, performance and goals. MB has been impressive so far, now it’s time to walk the talk. Looking forward to the new season. Hope is there in abundance as usual. Expectation is high. Come on you Rrrrs.
Thanks Dave! The crazy merry-go-round starts again! Not usually a happy hunting ground for us but here's hoping. COYRsss!
Cycling : Too late, you are too late to make the game. come on dave put some effort into your cycling you could probably walk there in the time left
Busted on the old copy and paste here wasn't I.... I'll claim I was too focused on The Tour de France, that seems a fitting excuse.
Was planning on going to this with my lad, til the Mrs has gone and ruined it by reminding me it's our wedding anniversary!!!
