A mum from Cardiff visits her son in Blackburn for dinner who lives with a girl roommate. During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty his roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious... Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between him and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, her son volunteered, “I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, we are just roommates and nothing more." About a week later, his roommate came to him saying, “Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" He said ,"Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure." He sat down and wrote : "Dear Mum, I'm not saying that you ‘did' take the silver plate from my house, I'm not saying that you ‘did not' take the silver plate But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner. Love, your son." Several days later, he received an email from his Mother which read: "Dear Son: I'm not saying that you ‘do' sleep with your roommate, and I'm not saying that you ‘do not' sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now, under her pillow… Love, Mum. xx"xx
Bit quiet on here so I thought I'd say hello we were dominating early doors but the pendulum seems to have done whatever pendulums do ....
Swing. From the BBC commentary it sounds like they should have equailsed but we make it to HT with our lead intact. Would be a great three points if we can do the business in the 2nd half! C'monnn Citty!
Sounds like we took Revell off and effectively put ourselves down to 10 men by bringing on that lazy useless ****er KWJ. Terrible 2nd half, we really need to score and create more when we are on top.
Disappointing but predictable. He has to drop Revell. City need a proper number 9. Glass half empty or full? For me it is half full as I cannot see the team getting above mid table with a manager who is a dinosaur tactics and plays Revell, and not Noone or Ameobi.
I think you mean half empty there Nin. Slade has got to go and be replaced with someone who can get this club on the front foot. The present regime bossed by Slade is a walking disaster. I've no idea how much input Trollope has on team selection and tactics, but if he's instrumental in what's being put out there, then he can go as well. It's easy to blame Tan for keeping a tight grip on the budget but we should be far more competent on the pitch with what Slade already has at his disposal.
Whoops, got my rhetoric back to front there. Another point - what does Scott Young bring to the team?
Probably the pasties during training. Being serious, well he did score against Leeds and he's managed AFC Porth and Port Talbot - what more do you want?......
Could be worse he could have managed Notts County, Sheffield United, Scarborough, Grimbsy, Yeovil, Brighton, Orient
Nothing wrong with AFC Porth. Could see the ground from my bedroom window (30 years ago). They were Porth Welfare then. Scott is an Ynyshir boy if memory serves.......
