just appeared on my window, inside, likely due to warm sunshine ... a real close inspection shows it is an adult size wise and complety black with 2 small red spots one on each wing . I am aware new born juveniles are blackish to start but this is to big for a juvenile..being over 6mm wide .... anyone else seen a lady bird yet? we are due a summer of pestilence greenfly blackfly to name a couple due to the warm winter and ladybirds just love aphids
I think we're just due a Summer...... Sick and tired of being stuck indoors virtually every weekend for the last 4 months due to the never ending wind and rain
You need to get a hobby like one of mine .. most weekends get out and about rain snow sleet hot or cold..gets a bit muddy though
Bear hunting is what you need to fill the void. Q. What's the first thing you should do when you spot a bear close by? A. Clean up and change your underpants.
Sunday League is non existant as well. Played only 2 matches since the beginning of December. 29th June is the end of A levels and thats when summer really starts
We used to get them on the front porch in Invermere where we lived for 6 years but we don't see as many out here on Vancouver Island. However out here the biggest threat comes from cougars (don't even go there) which are very unpredictable and are hunters but generally they go for small animals like dogs (OK unless you have a dog I suppose). I always laugh at the tourists (mainly Brits) who get out of their cars to get a closer look at the fascinating beast and wonder why they end up doing what I said earlier about underwear.
Because of my phobia of snakes and (yes it is really that bad) that it's stopping me doing something I would love to, and that's a safari. The way you are describing your home sounds fantastic, and makes you apprieciate the great world we live in. Bears to me though make you go arrrr but like you say people ought to remember they are wild animals and not used to humans trying to get in their faces, so will turn on you to protect themselves. Would you like to swap a freezing night in AG ST seat for a months lease in your home?
I was just thinking of something about dogging when I read that post and then read yours.. laughed out loud..
You wouldn't like bears if you had seen 'The Revenant' .. I have been on two safaris and can quite honestly tell you I never saw a snake!
I believe that the 2 bears came from a game park in Innisfail Albert where I took my granddaughter last summer. They are widely used in movies and ads and we got up close and personal with them, under the guidance of the warden.
Now that's scary, and a little bit disturbing that you were thinking about dogging.... Or was it digging ?
I might be a prospector, or an archaeologist, part time worker in a grave yard! .. .. do love camping .. but not got a allotment ...
If you are a prospector and go panning for mud, wind, and rain then you're certainly doing it in the right country ! If only there was a market for it...
