Monday will be the day the head coaches, offensive and defensive coördinators and general managers are going to get it. Fired, sacked, axed etc. This year things got off to an early start with Philbin and Whisenhunt were sacked by the Dolphins and Titans. And last Tuesday Chip Kelly got fired by the Eagles. So come Monday, the amount of sackings could be a bit less then usual. Which ones are likely to get axed? Coughlin (Giants) Pagano (Colts) Pettine (Browns) Caldwell (Lions) Campbell (Dolphins) McCoy (Chargers) Who's going to get it guys?
Black Monday was a slow news day sacking-wise. Coughlin stepped down and the Chargers fired Offensive coach Frank Reich. Still many coaches are rumoured to be gone by the next couple of days, like Sean Payton at the Saints.
And now the Bucs have fired Lovie Smith. Players aren't happy with this: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...tter-reaction-to-lovie-smiths-surprise-firing
Sean Payton signed an extension in New Orleans. Word is he got reassurances from the General Manager that they will take steps to fix the team. Chuck Pagano will be back in Indy. Came back from cancer and managed a less crappy season than expected without Andrew Luck. Tom Coughlin stepping down was an honorable thing to do, very classy guy. Lovie Smith getting fired took me by surprise. You would think he would get another year with a rookie QB.
