According to paper reports "The £12million clause in McCormack’s contract will expire tomorrow. In January he submitted a transfer request in the hope to secure a move to Middlesbrough. That fell through, and he eventually penned a new deal. That included an ‘escape clause’ which will expire on 1st July ." Other words of wisdom say the release clause was £15m but if it truly was set in his contract to be for (such a short) limited period the outcome is the same. Any of the prime suspects among Villa, Norwich, Hull etc. etc. who were interested parties and struggling to agree to the £12 (or £15) million asking price, could now come in with lower bids. please log in to view this image Or of course we could stick to our guns and say he's not moving. Or indeed demand more than those amounts. The bottom line is whether there's no new money for Slavi and he needs to raise cash to rebuild. Think I might have gone from half full to half empty! please log in to view this image
There is no statement anywhere stating that Kahn is willing to put serious money into the transfer market on behalf of FFC. Untill i can see some commitment to the club I dont trust him
No sooner said than done. Sheffield Wednesday have allegedly put in a bid of £11.5m for McCormack. And offering him "big" wages, which will no doubt tweek his tail. Source: http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...d-for-fulham-striker-ross-mccormack-1-7991531
The same paper (and others) say that bid was rejected and we've indicated they'll need to be thinking 15 million. Which some believe is the release clause number. Could be that's why Wednesday have gone for Fletcher.
