Don't make me laugh, we all know the only reason they fired him was because of the colour of his skin. It has nothing to do with their League position or poor results. Chris Kiwomya follows Keith Curle through the Exit Door at the County Ground as yet more disgraceful displays of xenophobia are displayed. Kiwomya only got the job in March of this year and hasn't had time to undergo the same 'Jackson-esqe' procedure to help him integrate. For all the doubters who will ask why, if they are racist, did Notts County employ black managers in the first place, then I say to you that Notts County were attempting a double-bluff and would have been found as racist if they had never employed one of our 'cousins'. The facts are all there if you only seek them.
Kind of, they do it to humiliate them and try to stem the flow of positive, high-profile influences to our 'neighbours'.
No disrespect to Kiwomya, but he is not management material. He was in the right place at the right time to succeed Keith Curle, and now Notts County are going to pay a heavy price for taking the cheap and easy option. Relegation is pretty much on the cards for them and it will take an expensive and experienced manager to get them out of the ****. The fans do not deserve these owners. I believe Curle was unfortunate to lose his position, as County were playing good football (including a 4-2 win at The Valley) and the fans were largely behind him. With regards to racism, that is a non-issue in England; Black managers are given the chances, but rarely do they succeed in the long term. It is quite possible Notts County brought in nice-guy Kiwomya to attract new black fans from the Clifton and Lenton areas of the city, but the football and results have been poor and the experiment has backfired. I hope Chris Kiwomya can resume his successful coaching career and also continue to come through the tragedy of losing his young son.
