The horse rated as the best sprinter, Black Caviar yesterday lined up looking to extend her career to 13 unbeaten races. Against a red hot field of previous G1 winners, she went to the start stalls as a 1-10 favourite. The only other horse who was considered a chance was the amazing Hay List, an animal thought to be the second best sprinter in the world. He was expected to set a tempo to suit himself, then blast home the last 600m. he ran the perfect race, but sadly for his connections, it was all to avail.

In winning the BTC Cup, Black Caviar stopped the clock on a dead track in 1.8.8, coming home the last 600m in 32.8. The win gave the wonderful mare, her 6th G1 win this season, a feat that matched Hall Of Fame Inductee Kingston Town. The link below shows the race, please remember that the second animal is a multiple G1 winner who has won 13 of 19 with 3 seconds.

Saw this myself yesterday and an amazing horse. I backed Buffering who got 3rd but would be amazed if anything can compete with Black Caviar at present.

Did it the hard way too. Incredible. The pedigree is very interesting too. Thanks for that Cyc.
