Just a day after the tragic death of Queensland's Carly-Mae Pye, racing has lost another young lady rider. South Australian teenager Caitlin Forrest yesterday crashed to the turf in a four horse fall at Murray Bridge. Caitlin could not survive her injuries and sadly passed away over night. Sometime you have to wonder if it's all worth while.

    Rest In Peace Caitlin. <rose>

Awful news, 3 young lives wiped out in the blink of an eye. Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Carly-Mae, Caitlin and Juan.

Needs a full safety review of the tracks and how races are run IMHO - such tragic loss of life really shouldn't be happening, especially in flat racing which should be inherently safer than jumps racing. RIP.
