What are people's opinions about Boris Johnson? He's been in the news a fair bit recently for shagging around and despite that I have to admit that as much as I despise politicians I think BJ is a top bloke. He's one of the few that isn't full of **** for me. I'd be happy with him running the country I know he plays the buffoon but he's obviously an intelligent person. Here he is rugby tackling a German And a ten year old child No ****s given
He is highly intelligent. He plays the part of a buffoon and even now people fall for it. He's apparently a charmer and a massive womaniser, and women still fall for it. He's ambitious, desperately wants to be PM. And yesterday he was a ****ing idiot with his suicide analogy.
Yeah no disagreement there he put his foot in it. I didn't necessarily disagree with the point he was making but no need to phrase it like that. Would you have him as PM if you had the choice?
I think he's an intelligent bloke who probably does a good job behind the scenes. However, as a figurehead, he'd be and has been a total embarrassment. His mouth works 5 seconds before his brain and as PM that would be dangerous. He'd be our version of Trump and if he was to get into power as well the Russians would be pissing themselves! He wouldnt last 5 seconds either. Trump can get away with his sort of ****e in America, Boris wouldnt get away with it here.
I used to like him but his recent shenanigans have put me off. It's all self-serving and done with the intention of getting himself the top job. Based on what I hear from several acquaintances who work in Westminster, this is the exact opposite of Theresa May who, despite what anyone may think of her as a person, is apparently highly committed to doing the right thing for the country and puts that above everything else. It's a pity really because if Boris had reigned some of his worst habits in a bit, he might have made a good leader.
It does seem like the more pressure is on him the more he messses up which doesn't bode well. I wonder how he'd do voting wise if he was up for the top job, he's popular but the concerns about him are valid.
Did incredibly well as mayor of London but I can't be doing with that Eton boy bullshit. In this day and age we really need to ****ing get past it.
Can’t think of a single one who stands out as a leader they are all ****e so may aswell stick with May for the time being
Totally disagree with that mate, Theresa May is a bungling, incompetent megalomaniac puppet with a bunch of close aides that are getting her through. In my life time, she has to be the worst PM ever and I'm 61, she was in a win win win position after the Brexit vote, Nick Timothy advised her well, she got the Job knowing Cameron would stand down in a Brexit win. She never uttered a word or campaigned for Remain, another example of how this devious **** operates, add to that the conference speeches, Grenfell, election campaign, appointment of totally unsuitable ministers (ie Northern Ireland), U-Turns and most of all the shambles she has created with Brexit.. The Conservatives would have been well gone with a decent opposition.. As for Johnson, his ego has always been his priority, his wisdom might be good but his persona, like May's is very detached from the reality of the mess this Country has become..
Not my opinion though mate- it's that of impartial non-politicos in Westminster. Personally, I think she lacks charisma and because of that the media have done a hatchet job on her. I'm not sure why everyone goes on about u-turns. Any policies she changed her mind over have been because they've been publically unpopular. She's listened to the people and changed tack- surely that's the mark of a leader who is not driven by ego. Brexit would be a shambles no matter who was in charge. She is at least trying to find a way through that causes as little damage as possible. I can't say I'm a massive fan of hers but I'd much rather she was in charge than any of the current alternatives.
