Reka Nyari, who describes herself as a lactivist, says she’s been on the receiving end of rude comments and hatred simply for breastfeeding her daughter, Ilo, in public. ‘It has been irritating how judgmental people can be about women who breastfeed, and how sexualised the breast and nipple have become,’ says Reka. Describes herself as an 'activist' because she breast feeds her kid, and here was me just thinking that the term 'mother' summed that up well enough.
