But the old boy they’re talking about here served in the DLI during WW2 so there may be a chance that he came from the NE and has family that he doesn’t know about. Good thread mate. I'm sure the DLI will be on the case and, thanks to posts like yours, word will spread. My Dad, and other relatives, we're DLI so I'll be thinking about the fella, RIP mate.
