There is a rumour on a well known football rumour site that Brum may be about to incur a 10 point deduction for financial irregularities, 3m missing from accounts and failing to submit accounts in time. Could be a load of rubbish but if true, it would make the last matches very interesting for us, brum and middsboro.
even if they take 10 pts next season that's fine if they don't win the play-offs.. until then rumours remain rumours for me..
Wasn,t sure if mentioning the actual site would be a breach of mod rules.but its the usual transfer rumour site that rightly so is 99% crap posted on it.
I live on the outskirts of Birmingham and have heard nothing of this. It's fair to assume its bollocks
Mentioning that site isn't a breach of any rules here but it would instantly destroy any credibility of what you are about to suggest.
Even if it were true they're not going to be given a penalty at this stage of the season. A legal challenge to it would cause chaos with the organising of the playoffs.
It was said a few months back in the national media that Birmingham City Must gain promotion back to the PL this season otherwise they will be in dire straights(not the group) due to Carson Yeungs bank accounts being frozen. IF Birmingham do miss out then expect administration and IF there is any truth to that rumour at the top of this thread then it could well be a double points deduction. Dont be surprised to see more than one club on Minus ponts come august though.
Carson Yeung is a front man, he only actually owns about 25% of the company that owns Brum, the freezing of his bank accounts shouldn't have too much of an effect(not unless it makes his co-owners nervous and they stop funding it too, but they're probably in too deep for that now).
